Friendly staff & clean/spacious room

A nice hotel on the outskirk with easy reach by tram or metro ro city centre. The room is spacious and clean and all the staff we interacted with are friendly and helpful. Cot bed was made up before arrival as requested. There is a toy kitchen in the lobby area. Having a fully functioning kitchen opened till after 9pm Sunday is a bonus. We have left a cuddly toy behind and was notified by email the day after we left. There is even an option to have it sent back although the admin and courier charge is high so we returned to pick it up. Our only quibble is that the in room safe does not work (seems to be out of battery)

Great hotel but but staff at the restaurant

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable but I faced a racist Asian looking lady in the breakfast restaurant and stopped me from eating breakfast. She claimed I didn’t have breakfast included even though it was included. She called and confirmed that but I was disappointed with her blatant racism. I am asking the hotel leadership to question her ignorance.

It was a very comfortable hotel. The only issue I have with it really (and this is with all hotels) is the shower. These modern showers aren’t very functional especially if they don’t have doors. The floors get wet so easily and the mats become soaked. Had to request multiple floor mats for the bathroom because of that. Otherwise it’s a very comfortable hotel, staff was extremely nice and helpful, there’s a microwave in the lobby for use, only thing is it’s a bit far from the city.

Poor selection of evening meal

Poor meals in The evening an extremely limited choice. Ie bread and selection of tapenade only comes with one. Chicken satay (one skewer) and a very debatable satay sauce!! Staff that don’t listen, asked for room service, 1.5 hrs later I was still waiting had to go down and get it myself! Breakfast is ok. Room is good but minus a proper desk for putting laptop on. Over all the food let it down.

The entire staff of this hotel needs a training in hospitality. As a guest you always have the feeling that you are bothering them. The breakfast was super stressful, not what you want to start your day. The lady checking your room number even does not answer to your “Good morning” as she is more busy to shout across the room to chase the customers who she thinks have not paid for the breakfast. To be served at the bar, even if the staff clearly sees you, you have to interrupt them in their 15min discussion and you clearly feel that you are not welcomed. The room was furnished with Ibis furniture, not the Novotel standard and, on top of big stains on all of them, there is no desk - not ideal when you stay for business. Lastly, as a Platinum customer, that was the first time that I was not proposed an upgrade, early check-in or late check out - despite them having clearly availability of “executive rooms”. I forgot to mention the cleaning lady, who, despite the do not disturb sign, tries to enter your room 1 hour before check-out time. Awful experience. Never again for me.
