Poor management!! Beware!!!

I second the comments regarding poor management. When booking two rooms the computer glitched and reset the date to the day I was making the reservation. I noticed it when I went to print my confirmation. Tried calling the hotel, either the phone would not ring or it would ring for a long time with no answer. I write an -mail and they said sorry we are not changing the date and will keep your money. No acknowledgment of the system issues. So, they got the same money they would have had if they just moved the rooms two days. So, bottom line, if you ever have any issues at all, you will not receive any customer service and be totally screwed. So they got the same money they would have it they adjusted the date, but showed their true non-customer service. Book at your own risk!

I loved the hotel, the stay was short (one night) but super restful, the breakfast was great and it is very close to the central train station, and near the hotel there are several places to eat, drugstores and places of interest. super recommended I would return for sure

The room is incredibly noisy, lacking sound isolation from the street. The bed is uncomfortable, and the pillows are even worse. Additionally, there's a lingering smell of cigarette smoke in the hotel, noticeable on the stairs and in some rooms despite it being prohibited.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Ibis Hotel Nürnberg Altstadt. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. As we are a city hotel directly in the beautiful Nuremberg Altstadt it is hard even for our isolated windows to keep every noise of the day and nightlife the city away from the rooms. Our guests can always wish by booking if they might want a room in the upper floors or to the backside of the hotel. Our Sweet Beds are very often the highlight of our guests but we can understand that not everyone has the same taste in such things. Our hotel is a complete non-smoking house and gets checked up by quality and hygiene checks every few months and be assured that everything is fine with it and that there are no smoking areas or rooms in our house. Maybe the smell of cigarette came from outside the hotel. At Ibis, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Good Location but a bit Noisy

The hotel has a very good location in the Nuremberg old town just a block from the main train station. It is on a very noisy street and was noisy even late at night especially on the weekend. It was a nice hotel room with a decent breakfast for a reasonable price.

Great location, located less than a 10min walk from the central train station just inside the city walls. A supermarket is close by located in the train station. If you don’t mind walking all the main tourist attractions are easily reached from the Ibis. Approximately a 15-20min stroll in to the heart of the city which is a nice walk through cobbled pedestrian zones. The actual hotel was in keeping with a typical Ibis, minimalistic and basic. No tea, coffee, kettle or fridge which can be standard practice in European hotels. Overall our stay was fine, room was clean however it could have benefited from some attention to detail regarding overall cleanliness, for example dust under the bed, around the TV etc….
