Very well situated hotel, but you will need a car. Excellent value for money with spacious, very comfortable rooms with tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice of fruit, breads, cheeses as well as hot food ie sausages, bacon , mushrooms and tomatoes. This is the best breakfast I have had in an Accor hotel and it should not be missed. 10 out of 10 for everything.

I normally stay in Porto center when I visit this city. This time I chose Novotel Gaia. Located in the top of a mountain in Gaia with magnificent view of Douro River joining the sea, Nice hotel, great rooms, Yummy breakfast and gentle crew all very well located, few minutes from Gaia's caves as well as from Porto riverside. I really enjoyed it and recommend. Very good hotel for family with kids with playground and eletronic games attractions.

Friendly welcome and excellent staff. Nice clean comfortable room. My daughter enjoyed the pool. A little out of main tourist area but an easy, quick and inexpensive trip in by taxi (6 euros). Good breakfast.

the room for people with mobility difficulties, was terrible. Ask the hotel to send you pictures so that you can evaluate the size of the problem. I can not describe it. Please do not advertise as being accessible; He is not.

clean hotel, pleasant staff however as Air Conditioning was not switched one felt hot. they don't even have table fans. only solution was to open window & then was noisy due to traffic on the road. money spent was not worth due to this reason

A wonderful and well situated hotel( if you have a car) , excellent value for money. Make sure you have breakfast, it is excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us some advice about what to do in the area. We have already been twice to this hotel and will certainly come again in the future. A perfect stay.

we had a good experience , the staff was nice , the breakfast was excelent, fantastic . The location is good , not so near at historic center but essy to go. there are a shopping and restaurants near .Quiet place , so calm night .

We had a good welcome, a room that can accommodate the whole family is the best thing about this hotel. But, we think the breakfast was a bit disorganized, many people and few tables and only one coffee machine.

Perfect location for a short break or holiday. The room was a lovely size. I Unusual to have a bidet in the bathroom. The downside was the disposal cups and wooden stirrers for hot drinks. Buffet breakfast was great, sausages were like spicy, garlicky chipolatas which were tasty.

While not in central Porto we found the location quite convenient being on the road out of town and a short ferry rise iver to Porto. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the outdoor playground and pool were a big hit with our daughter.

Park your car and take a taxi to Porto and the waterfront area. Typical quality and service of the Novotel chain. Very good breakfast buffet. The staff was very accommodating and fluent in the English language

We had a great time in Porto Novotel with a family feeling. Service are really great and that is really the best value for money. On top of that , my kids enjoyed the pool the whole journey . . . . . .merci !

A very nice Hotel off the beaten track but once we were used to the public transport system we were surprised to find it worked really well for us with busses running close to the Hotel from very early until late, and the ADANTE tickets purchased from the metro stations were valid we used mostly the 24 hour tickets for different zones depending on how far afield we wanted to travel, When we arrived at the Novo tel we were checked in by Aderito who had an excellent knowledge of the area and gave us many ideas and suggestions, this carried on throughout our stay, his customer service was excellent a real credit to the ACCOR group, our room was of a good size with fabulous views of the hotel gardens, pool, River, and ocean, the room was kept clean and tidy by housekeeping to a very high standard, a standard that we experienced from ALL of the Hotels staff, The Breakfast was also a fine experience with the many varied choices of hot and cold food, excellent coffee's and teas, well attended and often replenished, would certainly stay again 10/10. My tip on public transport is to do a little research regarding the ADANTE tickets and Zones that they cover if you intend to use the transport system to get around as it is good value

Location and service were ok. Rooms need urgent carpet replacement. Do not expect a very spacious room. Good value for money . Friendly staff and good variety for breakfast. Internet works well. It's located on a hill and walking around may be bothersome for kids or people with limitations .

We stayed for 2 nights in Dec 2016. The staff is very kindly. And the room and breakfast was very good. The location is also good. Just 10 min to city centre of Porto by car or taxi. If we go to Porto again，I want to stay this hotel, again.
