Perfectly satisfactory as a stopover; try and get the BBQ pork ribs!

We stayed here as a stopover on our way from eurotunnel to Ventimiglia, and it was chosen because there is a Tesla supercharger (as opposed to just EV charging) in the car park. Our room was basic but functional, and the shower worked fine: essentially what you would expect of a prison cell in a very enlightened country. The towel was fairly thin but we weren't expecting fluffy towels a la Ritz. We ate in the excellent Courtepaille BBQ restaurant that was part of the hotel and I had the daily special, barbecued pork ribs with frites and ratatouille (21.90), my wife the Chicken Brochette (14.50); she promptly wished she’d joined me in the special. A good value-for-money bottle of Malbec (19.30) and a slightly less good value-for-money litre of water at 5.00. A perfectly acceptable breakfast. If anyone thinks the prison cell jibe was a bit harsh, we think 99% of chain hotels at around 100 euros a night fall into this category. This was a bit more expensive, at 122.71, but the bottom line is: Would we stay here again? to which the answer is Yes.

The layout is impossible for a comfortable stay with two pets

The staff are lovely, the restaurant really good and the rooms are clean. So why the 3 star review? The room layout. The rooms are tiny but the layout is ridiculous. Admittedly we were on a stopover to Provence with our two dogs, so had a lot of luggage, but honestly, there wasn’t room to swing a mouse, let alone a cat and certainly not a dog! We found ourselves quite irate and eventually agreed that if one of us wanted to move, the other should sit down. It’s probably fine if you’re a light traveller and don’t have pets with you, but for us, it simply didn’t work. We stayed in the sister Ibis in Annecy and its rooms were even smaller at 14sq m. but somehow, because of the layout, that seemed to work. On our return journey, we booked a bigger room in the Novotel just across the way.

We are glad that you find your comfort in our colleagues at Novotel where the rooms are bigger because it is spefically for family (4 xpêople). in our ibis hotel rooms are only for 2 xpeople. Dreadful experience due to British guests

Stay here regularly but today there is a group of drunk British people in the bar playing very loud music and singing. We cant even have a drink at the bar. So ashamed its British people. The staff are very nice but allow them to disturb everyone else. May have to stay elsewhere on our next trip in September.

We are sorry to hear that. We tried to calm down them but we weren't heard either by the Group Manager . Once again we are really sorry. It is unsual. Anyway thank you for sharing us your feeling, On September we won't have groups same this one. Hope to see you again in few weeks. Best regards.

Fairly budget hotel but no complaints

Although a solo traveller I was part of a tour returning from our holiday. I found the hotel staff very accommodating (especially the kitchen staff who provided breakfast at 6am!) As is often still the case in European hotels no in room hot drink making facilities are provided but I believe drinks could be made in the area around reception and I took my own kettle and drinks sachets. The hotel is a little way from the city centre but I used an Uber to enjoy the city in the evening. I believe that people who ate in the adjoining restaurant were happy with their food. All in all no complaints from me!

We had a comfy stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the answers to our questions. The plus is the restaurant attached to the hotel. Which had great food! I don't know what else to add except it was an adequate comfortable place to stay!
