You cannot find a better location to stay when exploring the city as everything is within 10 minutes walk. Bed was comfortable, into downside was the shower head was very close to the wall so a longer one would be better. Room was warm even without the heating on.

We have stayed in this hotel a few times as a one night stop on a coach tour. Our last visit was better than previous stays. Some of the rooms are small, but our room on this trip was more spacious. On our last trip we were a bit disappointed to arrive at the bar after a long journey to be greeted with “I do not speak English” which we felt for an international hotel was not terribly helpful. This time we felt the bar staff were very helpful and friendly, so many thanks

Pleasant stay but some work needed to bring it up to standard

It was an enjoyable stay but not exactly up to the standards of a 4 star hotel or the standards of other Mercure hotels I've stayed in. The location is excellent for getting around and the room was nice and spacious (the bathroom in particular was very big!). However the interior of the hotel felt a little run down, especially in the corridors, and needs a bit of care and attention. The TV also didn't have any channels available... The big priorities for me with a hotel stay are the shower quality and noise levels, both of which were not great. The shower was a bit of a trickle so not particularly great and there was a fair amount of noise from other guests chatting and slamming doors which traveled to my room and disturbed my sleep. I also didn't receive any member benefits which I've had in other Mercure hotels. Staff were friendly and cleanliness of the rooms was great so an overall nice stay but felt much more 3 star than 4. There were also some green initiatives which didn't make sense; no bottles of water to save on single use plastics and instead (very small) paper cups; surely cups that end up soggy after a few uses are also wasteful and contribute to deforestation? When I stayed at a Mercure in Berlin, they offered complimentary still and sparkling water in glass bottles which you could then take to the bar and refill which feels much more sustainable.

very nice and central hotel. Just around the corner from the main square.Comfiest bed I have ever slept in! Decent choice at breakfast, constantly replensihed. Compact room but very comfortable. Good housekeeping Friendly redeption staff.. Room was a little hot and also the step into the bathroom was easy to trip on! Apart from that - great

Hotel located 10 minutes by foot from Lille Train Station. Overall 8/ 10. Situation is very close to Lille city center, train station and metro. Reception service: 9/10 warm welcome and very professional service. Breakfast service: 0/10 staffs at the breakfast area is not very friendly at all, we was say hello to his/her, they never say hello back and always ignoring us. That's weird. (2 guys and 1 woman at the breakfast service area) - we were stay here for 3 days, during our stay his/her always ignoring us. When we have arrived and waiting for our room. I tried to order something to drink, he just looks at me and just walk aways. So I have to go to the reception to order the drink instead. (breakfast is classic nothing special - juice, bread, omelet, eggs etc). Room & Amenities: 7/10 Bed and room are ok but shower is was slippery when is wet. Bar: 9/10 (night service bar). She was very nice and friendly. Thank you very much. Only one negative point, there is not many choice of beverages.
