Not well taken care of and an uncomfortable night

We booked a room for us parents and our child. The children bed was not ready when we arrived and after reporting this to the reception twice, in the evening it was still not done. By then the cleaning service was off and the new receptionist came up and did it himself. However he didn't know where the bed linen were and so he just put on the bed whatever he found. The spanner was too small and could not be attached on the sides. So he just put it on the mattress and apologised. Our child didn't want to sleep on it. Then my husband tried, but the bed was inclined and not straight (basically feet higher than the head). So he first slept the other way round and in the end joined us in the queen sized bed. The next day I reported this to the reception. They apologized, told us they could not give us a discount and gave our child a cheap give-away hand-mirror. We don't think this was reliable, nor kind service. Things can go wrong, but then there needs to be an adequate reaction to it.

The room was comfortable and clean. This is a small thing to note: I always miss having facecloths in almost all hotels, so I was pleasantly surprised to be provided with them. Thank you! I really enjoyed the fresh fruit spread at breakfast, the meal was healthful and satisfying. I had the lentils and cauliflower rubble for lunch which was really outstandingly delicious. Location was fabulous, my conference was literally right next door so it couldn't have been more convenient. It is also very convenient to walk in the old town which was really charming.
