Be carefull - limiltations due renovations

I am very displeased with the reception at your hotel. I find it truly unbelievable that you can provide services to tourists considering the renovations you are doing. For the 4 days of our stay, we were limited due to the renovations. For the last 2 days, we had to go all the way around the hotel and through the dining room to reach the elevators. On the last day, all 3 elevators were out of service, and only the service elevator could be used. Unacceptable.

The staff were friendly at the hotel and it is near the U Bahn that will take you directly to prettier parts of Vienna. I also had a good view from my hotel room which was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept well. Sadly, there is nothing else good to say. The heating didn't work in my room so I was given an electric heater. The cord on the heater was too short to reach any of the sockets apart from the one near my bed which I would have used for charging my phone. The heater was ineffective but luckily there was an extra duvet in the room which stopped me from feeling very cold at bed time. The cups for making coffee were dirty and the coffee machine didn't actually work. The switch on the wall for the heating that didn't work flashed brightly all the time which made sleeping difficult until I got up and covered the light using a sock. Despite being on floor 13 and the window being double glazed, the room was noisy. I could hear all the noise from the street outside. There were stains on the seating area of the room. The shower pressure and temperature was good except the shower head kept slipping so I had to hold it up. Otherwise the shower would only be useful for people under 4ft tall. The paint was chipped on the door frame to the bathroom and the rest of the hotel looked shabby. I hope they are doing renovations in the reception area as that would be a good excuse for it looking so bad. The carpets in the hotel need to be replaced as they are old and worn. One of my towels was threadbare. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Room were nice and cleaned every day. Great for sightseeing. Tram train and bus all within walking distance. All the shopping was just around the corner. Every think we wanted great stay. Weather for February was lovely and walking around the city's shops was great.
