I stayed at this hotel and unfortunately forgot my Stanley Cup in the room. It was entirely my mistake. I left my luggage in the storage room to spend the day touring the city, and when I returned in the evening, I informed the reception that I had forgotten the cup in my room. The receptionist checked the room and also the “Lost & Found” box, but the cup was not there. My wife sent an email later, and the hotel replied confirming that the item had not been found. Five days later, after I published a review about the hotel here on TripAdvisor, the Stanley Cup suddenly “appeared.” The hotel then claimed that the cleaner had stored the cup in the laundry area and that they had taken several days off, which supposedly explained the delay in locating the item. To me, this explanation seems quite strange. The hotel sent me a link to retrieve the item, but the cost was equivalent to buying a new Stanley Cup. Overall, the whole situation felt dishonest. Forgetting the cup was my mistake, but I do not believe this is an honest establishment.

I have stayed in Ibis hotel in France previously and they were always good, small rooms but clean and comfortable. This one was tatty and run down. Thankfully it was one night only and not even cheap and certainly overpriced for this facility. Well overdue a makeover.

Disturbing behavior from the staff

We went to recharge our car and had breakfast. It was such a terrible breakfast. The staff was rude. Two staff members kept eating from the corn flake jars in front of us which was quite disgusting and unhygienic. The girl on the bar counter touching her body then touching food with the same hand which was also very much disgusting. The one cleaning the table counter kept putting the fallen flakes into the jar. I’ve never seen something like this and especially from the French people was not expecting this much unhealthy and unhygienic behavior. Such a disgusting place !

The hotel is ok and Ibis standard. The bathroom has very old towels and the shower doesn't work properly, during the shower the water gets too hot and too cold even without you changing the temperature. Furthermore, my husband and I suffer from bedbugs in the bed and we are suffering from bites and having to treat them with medication and a doctor.

Typical Ibis. Kind and helpful staff, nice property with big garden. Comfortable room for a 1-night stay. Very efficient check-in system. Other benefits are on-site parking and location close to the highway. Highly recommend this property for overnight stay in Aix-en-Provence.
