Location: The location of the hotel is fantastic—it’s within walking distance to all the Christmas markets, making it super convenient for sightseeing. Plus, there’s a tram stop right across the street. Note that in order to get to the lobby of the hotel you have to go up a set of steps no matter which entrance you use which can make it difficult with heavy luggage. No one helps with your bags. Room: We stayed in room 706. It was small but clean, and seemed to have everything we needed for a short stay. However, I can’t comment on the breakfast since we didn’t try it. Noise: The biggest downside to this hotel is the noise. I don’t usually write reviews at 4:24 AM, but here I am. I’ve been kept awake every night by constant noise outside. People are talking, laughing, and even screaming well into the early hours—literally all night. Even with the windows closed, it feels like the noise is inside the room with you. It was the same every night of our 3-night stay. I couldn’t get any rest. On top of that, you can hear the tram every time it passes, which adds to the disturbance. It’s a shame, because the hotel is otherwise in a great location, but if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the place. I really hope the hotel management can do something about the soundproofing or noise issues but it doesn’t seem like they even care.

Despite the installation of triple glazing in our rooms, we sincerely regret that this was not enough to provide you with the peace and quiet you deserved. However, we apologize if this information was not clearly communicated to you upon your arrival. Basic, OK but could be better. Stay 27-29/07/2025 Had travelled by Eurostar arriving around 8.30pm. Asked if there was anywhere we could get food. Was pointed in the direction of a KFC. Thought might have been able to get at least a snack in the hotel. So if arriving late have a plan for somewhere to eat Not sure if we had walked round the building which could have been quite a walk as looked like it was part of a shopping centre, we might have found a ramp as there was a large number of steps up to the hotel. Not ideal when travelling with a suitcase. Stayed in Ibis before so was expecting basic. Check in was good, quick, reception, polite, friendly and professional. Room small but comfortable. Even though a double room, was just OK for me on my own so might not be so great if sharing. Toiletries OK. Air con OK. View from room disappointing overlooking what looked like an unkempt rooftop garden, but not unexpected. No fridge, but not surprising at price point. Filtered water available free in reception. Didn't use bar or restaurant during stay. Asked about safety deposit box as none in room. Both the hotel website and Booking.com say there is a safety deposit box. Asked at reception to be told that there wasn't one so that needs addressing immediately and websites updating or staff made aware of where it is. I would expect this as standard in even the most budget of rooms. Had to carry my passport and valuables around with me. Not ideal especially as it was wet weather and could risk passport suffering water damage. Good location not too far from the beautiful area of Petit France. I wish that my stay in Strasbourg had been longer I would have loved more time to explore such a lovely place. Ate at L'Oignon. Food fabulous. Staff great. Lovely ambience. French onion soup exceeded expectations.

Car par not nice not a safe place sick on the stairs to hotel and stinks of urine Breakfast is ok and nice location for getting into city which is lovely Room very small and compact bed is ok Parking is very expensive even for a motorcycle Would visit Strasbourg again but not at this hotel

What can I say? Ibis is always a known quantity and never disappoints. This hotel is clean, well run and displays the typical value of every Ibis I’ve ever stayed in. Everything worked, everything was clean, no complainants. Coffee in the room would be nice but this seems to be hit or miss in Europe. The staff at the front desk were helpful and professional. The bar was a nice place to rest after a long day of exploring the city but the child’s play area should NOT be near the bar. The room was fine, quiet and comfortable. The location just outside the old town is convenient but there were few restaurants really close so some walking was required to find dinner. The Ibis is just far enough outside the crowds of old town to make it a nice refuge at the end of the day.

Hefty rate for a tiny room and very poor amenities. Bed has two single mattresses put together that keep moving away from spring board and detach! Very uncomfortable. Charged my wrong card and won’t correct their mistake. Poor customer service. Won’t go back.
