Overall it was an okay hotel, staff was really nice and happy to help even though we spoke little french they still helped and they know english well. In the room we stayed in the shower leaked and made the whole bathroom wet and was a little broken. Beds were really nice and food was amazing

Restaurant mainly closed in July & August!

Comfortable and clean hotel, close to the port and with secure parking. However, the restaurant was closed due to a large group. The sign on the door states that the restaurant is open Monday to Thursday. We stayed a Thursday night. This was very disappointing as we had driven nearly 400 miles and we then had to get back in the car and find a restaurant. We spoke to the manager who said that the restaurant is not open mostly in July and August. There is nothing on the Ibis website and we would have booked a different hotel if we had known.

This hotel is located just outside Caen with easy access by car to Normandy beaches and other tourist sites in the region. The exterior of the hotel is a little dated however the room whilst small appears to have been renovated to current Ibis standard. Mid size flatscreen TV on wall , comfortable bed. Open style wardrobe with some clothes hangars. Small modern and clean bathroom with shower. Air conditioning unit attached to wall but unsure if or how it operated . The window could be opened allowing fresh air into the room if required. As others have commented the restaurant was open only to tour group. A 10 min walk to a local restaurant (New Kebab) solved this problem or you could drive into the town for more choices. A nice breakfast is available dining either inside or outside (beware the outdoor area is also the smoking area). Overall a nice Ibis hotel and enjoyable and comfortable two night stay.

No restaurant. Told at reception that food is for group bookings only. One to watch out for. I like ibis hotels and we always search for them when travelling around however as a "customer" I had to walk to the nearest shop. I had driven 300 miles and don't want to get into the car again to drive to a restaurant. We only booked this because we saw it had an evening restaurant, didn't realise that there are conditions attached. Come on ibis...you are better than this. Look after your customers. On this occasion I did not feel like I had been looked after.

The hotel has clearly undergone a recent renovation so the rooms are well appointed. 24 hour reception staff meant the check-in was easy as we arrived late after the ferry. Very few people in the hotel apart from a tour group so it was very quiet.
