Very poor! The power in my room was gone for over 2 hours. The curry for over €15 was awful and tasted like it came out of a microwave!

We regularly stay at this Ibis on our way from Connemara to London. It always works very well, and it is made very easy for us to get up early (with a call), have a light breakfast, and then set out for the docks. The staff and kind and thoughtful and we shall certainly come again.

Stayed for one evening that we got away from the kids(which doesn't happen very often at all) had a look at other hotels in area... citywest,maldoran... but chose yourselves to stay...receptionist very pleasant!! Credit where credit is due!! "Bar" "restaurant" staff...pleasant but I feel a little lacking in confidence maybe? Did not fully understand the menu.. asked for jalapeno peppers,was told we dont do them,even tho they are a topping for another pizza!!!!! Not a problem....got what we ordered! No fuss made all good!!! Room was very basic...disposable plastic glasses in bathroom....and a tube of hand cream that by the looks of it was only replaced when empty,so other guests were using it also!!! Cleanliness was very good...place in general was good,but for such a big hotel chain you would expect the little things to be spot on.....so it's a 3 at a push

Stay was comfortable with warm and spacious room. Wi fi was excellent. Parking provided is a major plus as is location beside tge Red Cow park 'n' Ride.

Accessibility issues and room temperature

We lowed how simple and clean this budget friendly hotel hosts it's guests. The bed has a decent foam mattress, soap, towels tea or coffee are supplied. This is really anything one needs and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The main issue we encountered was very poor accessibility through public transportation. In lieu of a dedicated airport shuttle one would expect signage to guide a visitor over up the hill, over the highway overpass and around the roundabout… There are parts that do not even have a sidewalk. This is dangerous and makes a visitor feel like they are definitely on the wrong path. Not everybody arrives by taxi or car. The rooms are so humid and cold that towels don't dry over night. In the room light switch positions (up or down for on or off) are inconsistent. We thought a light was broken…

Poor breakfast, smelling rooms

The breakfast buffet was constantly empty for the 2 days we stayed. There was no hot food, plates, cups or cutleries. The hot food was not good at all (the eggs, sausage or hashbrowns). For dinner the menu is way overpriced for the quality. Our first room was smelling really bad from smoking. The next room we took was not much better.

Despite ringing before my stay, dropping in before my stay and asking at reception when I arrived, I received the wrong information about the hotel every time. I repeatedly asked about dinner service on Christmas day. It was the reason that I decided to stay there...there WAS going to be a Christmas dinner served on Christmas day. I rang and asked the person on reception and he said it wouldbe no problem. I called in a few days before and asked again And I was told the same thing. When I arrived the girl on reception told me that it would be served at 5pm the next-day. Later I was told NO dinner would be served. The girl who told me 5pm had gone home and everyone seemed shocked. By now I had paid for my stay and it was too late to go anywhere else. It ruined my Christmas. I could not get anything to eat. In fairness to Ulysses, the manager he did offer to make me a pizza but a pizza is not a Christmas dinner and I preferred to have a chef cook the meal. Ulysses also offered me a extra night's stay but I left early the next day because another day without a dinner would have been like torture. You need to fix this for next year. I would never stay in your hotel again. Your staff cannot be trusted to tell the truth of even to KNOW the truth.

I've been using IBIS and other ACCOR Hotels for over 10 years and this is the first time I am so disappointed. I stayed there 9 nights and, even when the staff was very kind, the hotel is simply too old and I found issue after issue: Bad smell, bad mattress, bad coffee machine, old and broken heater, old TVs, etc... etc... I changed room 3 times but there wasn't any room that satisfied me with no issues at all. Too late, I found the Hotel is rated 2 stars. I never thought such a lack of investment from ACCOR Hotels.

Very convenient location. Good rate. Very good food. However room facilities are basic. Poor room maintenance. Toilet seat broken. Very poor TV and it's quality and channels. No replacement of basic items such as tea bags. Had to ask for same each day.
