There are a lot of reviews about maintenance backlogs at this hotel. I think as of April 2025 these have largely been resolved. We stayed in the Suite on the 6 Floor and this is highly recommended for couples staying for at least four nights. The suite occupies the floorspace of two rooms, the bed is very large and comfortable. The bathroom well appointed and there is a large lounge space with a sofa bed (which we only used as a sofa). The TV has many channels including sports and international news. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, great credit to them. TIP: Get a Taxi both to and from the airport. It can take as little as 20 minutes with a Taxi as opposed to over an hour on the two trams. Getting into the City centre the Line C tram (a five minute walk) only takes 20 minutes.

Location and parking are good,close to the tram to central Bordeaux and the motorway. Pool looked nice and there is plenty for kids to enjoy. However there is only 1 small lift, the air con takes a while to get going and we thought the asking price for breakfast pretty steep. Bedrooms are functional rather than comfortable and we had a very small double bed with a single pillow each. Definitely not 4 star.

Although this hotel is situated on outskirts of Bordeaux it is perfect if you have a car. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly, rooms were clean and reasonably spacious, could have done with bit more shelf space but probably not many people stay for 5 nights as we did. We ate in the restaurant for 3 nights but unfortunately due to staff issues it was closed at the weekend. The 3 meals we had were very nice as were the breakfasts. Although a way out of the town there was a tram just a short walk away which took you anywhere in the centre of the city, which was perfect. Overall good experience at this lovely hotel.

Normal Mercure Hotel, but staff was very nice and overall the hotel is great considering price, proximity to the stadium etc which was important for us seeing that we were there for the World Cup Rugby. However, we do not recommend the restaurant at all. Although the staff, especially an older gentleman, were very friendly, my husband was served very moldy cheese (and not the good mold of cheese, but the really green bad one...!). The problem is not only that it was off, it was also served in a way that this super visibly moldy green side was at the bottom, so if my husband had not looked at the cut off piece on his fork, he would have eaten it.... We never received a real heartfelt sorry or somewhat of a sign that they are sorry. No reimbursement, that we didn't have to pay the desserts or anything like this. Hence, the rating is only 3 stars.

Excellent family holiday location close to tram line

We spent a fantastic 5 nights in this hotel at the end of July 2023. We got the A line tram into the city from the airport and then transfered to the C Line tram which dropped us off a 1 minute walk from the hotel. The location is perfect. Very quiet with lovely trees in the garden and around the pool creating shade. When we arrived the reception staff could not have been any more helpful. They even kept the kitchen open for us to get lunch as we arrived it was just about to close the lunch sitting. After flying from Ireland, we were thrilled that the staff were that willing to help us out. The staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English if we could not communicate in our broken French. Rooms were spotlessly clean every day and the hotel lobby /bar area was just beautiful with bright colourful furniture and an amazing water feature at reception. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on 2 occasions and the food was very good, with the 3 course menu for 29euro being very good value for money. The pool was cleaned every morning and we were impressed that despite all the trees in the garden, we never found a single leaf or piece of debris in the pool. This is a sign of the care and diligence of the staff. Overall experience could be summarised as : 1. Great location by tramline for access to Bordeaux city. 2. Very friendly and attentative staff with good communication skills 3. Spotlessly clean hotel rooms, lobby, pool and garden 4. Great food in the restaurant. Will definitely return to this hotel in the future.
