Been surclassed in a suite. Lost my wallet with money and passport in the cafe there, then found it intact at the reception 4 hours later.... The air conditionner in the room/suite was lousy, otherwise every thing was great

Nice hotel

The hotel was nice. Room was good, and good view of the lagoon. Staff and reception could be more friendly and helpful. The location is nice, at the center of town, and there are many taxis that can take you anywhere usually in front of the hotel.

Please be assured that your comments will be taken into serious consideration and that they will help us to improve our services. Once again, thank you for your time and despite the issues you have raised following your stay, we hope that we will remain an option for your next holiday and that we will have the opportunity to restore your faith in our company and the tean in the near future.

It can not lock the door

The auto lock is broken and the door can not be locked. The cleaning staff came into the room early in the morning and could not sleep. The approach of the equipment repairer is not good. I felt a bad mood

Concerning the auto lock, We already asked to our technical departement to check the door. Since a maintenance has been done on all our rooms doors. Our maids are starting the room cleaning from 8h30 AM. Next time may I offer you to put the do not distrub sign on your to avoid any incovenient. Or to inform our reception staff that you would prefer to have your room clean in afternoon or at any time suitable for you. wishing to have the pleasure to welcome you again and to meet you personaly. best regards

I was staying at Novotel Abidjan for business purpose. Unfortunately I notice the following things that need to be improved: - service in room: ro much time waiting for getting beveraqe in the room. - Internet access: not access all the time. - Pick up airport: not possible between 11 am and 2 pm. Unfortunately for me travelling from Nairobi, the only direct flight arrive at 11:25 am. - Drive to the airport: 30 min. late according to the time arrival expected. Positive remarks: Special hanks to the cleaning lady Marie-Solange and to the lady at the reception, Aimée. They have given me an outstanding service.

I book to enjoy the lagoon view at the end of the year fireworks in Abidjan, the lady at home received me with a smile and an incredible kindness, the view of my room was beautiful !! I found the room service card quite poor and not varied, I was disappointed during an order!

Awful front desk staff

Whilst checking out at 05.00 on the 20th December 2018, the individual on the front desk had us “pay the hotel” for our taxi to the airport. When we got in the taxi, the driver looked to confirm the fare with us and we advised that we had paid at reception. The driver then went in to collect the fare from reception and the individual manning the desk only gave the driver half the money we had agreed to pay, alleging we had negotiated a better price. He then kept half the fare for himself. Had the driver not looked to reconfirm the fare with us when we got in the cab, we would have had to pay again when we got to the airport. We did not have time to sort this out with the individual on the desk as we needed to leave to catch our flight so unfortunately the driver received only half what we had paid and the hotel/ the individual on the front desk took the rest! Clearly, this is completely unacceptable.

Ideally located on the "plateau" the business center of Abidjan, the hotel offers all modern confort you expect from a Novotel branded hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was nice and very well insulated from the sound coming from the street. The noise insulation from the noises coming from the corridor is less good and is sometimes disturbing, some guests are really noisy too. The restaurant offers a big buffet with is nice and not overpriced. The bar and lobby are nice and there is a terrace where people are gathering for drinks. Watch out on the terrace, some tables are not stable at all anymore and you can easily spill your drink :-( The TV channel offer is very poor and unstable, some channels are not all the time available or are working only for a couple of minutes. I had an A/C problem which could be solved the same day, so the staff reactivity is good.

Rooms are OK . Cleanliness and House keeping to improve.Location is good and ambiance is also fine. English speaking person should be at reception in addition to local language person.Breakfast is fine. Suggest to include Asian dishes when Asian guests are staying at Hotel

I always stay at Novotel whenever in Abidjan for business. This time upon arrival I was given a smoking room on 1st floor. I asked to be moved as I am a non smoker and don't like the smell on the floor and room. I moved to room 1308 and had problems with no hot water in my shower on two occasions and phoned maintenance. Eventually I was moved to 1300, but also experienced the same issue. Called maintenance once and then didn't bother further as was becoming a waste of time and inconvenience each time to wait for maintenance to arrive before having to take a shower. Otherwise, hotel is always clean, nice and modern as well as friendly staff.

nicer room but poor service

very slow service at the bar: average 45 minutes to get a snack, 10 minutes to get a water bottle no communication in between teams had to wait for 3 hours so we could check in our room : not acceptable for such an expensive hotel no internet in the room shower pressure not too good

internet is very bad in room,v are international guest & v book the room on internet by international approved currency.during payment i find you give the exchange rates 517 against one usd & first we buy international currency to travel then buy local currency so it will cost to us double look to me cheated,i will raise this very soon

We actually had during last few days issues with our internet provider. It is now fixed, but we still have to increase the internet speed to provide a better service for our "clientèle".
