the hotel experience has continued to go down here unfortunately. construction noise early on the weekend. elevators full from carpet crews. no snacks or amenities for night. hotel bathrrom had empty bottles in shower.

Bad pillows and meager room art

We stayed at 21C two years ago and had a wonderful experience. Our recent two night visit presented a big issue. The bed pillows were huge and hard as rocks. I have neck issues so am very sensitive to bad pillows. We contacted the front desk (very late) and they sent someone up with different pillows but they were the same. Bad nights. I also have a question about the room decor. The walls were clean but dull and we only had one art piece. The art in the rest of the hotel is wonderful. Why wouldn’t a hotel that promotes art have wall artwork as well?

It is a very nice boutique hotel that is obviously trying to be special. The Hive's atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. I believe it should be renovated into a much warmer and inviting setting. The art is hidden in separate areas of the lobby so much can be easily missed. A handout describing the existing art would be very helpful.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Was lacking an ice machine and when ordered from desk it was brought in a small trash bag and no ice bucket. There was also no snacks or refreshments to purchase which was inconvenient on Thanksgiving day. These are minor inconvenience compared to the pros of the hotel but being it my first solo thanksgiving it would have been nice to have ice and snacks to cozy up in my room.
