A nice hotel, great staff, rooms on the smaller side

We stayed here for one night on December 31st. The hotel reception area was very clean, warm and welcoming. The staff member checking us in was friendly however it did take quite a while for us to get checked in. The lady working the bar that evening was very chatty and friendly, not only chatting with us but everyone that was sat downstairs! The room itself was very small, and we had a slight issue with the heating - everytime we put it on, it would blow warm air for roughly 10 minutes before turning to blowing out cold air. We also had a faulty plug in our bathroom sink, which meant we had to wash out hands using the shower. Overall the hotel itself is nice, great location and friendly staff. The rooms are very small but you do get what you pay for. I was slightly disappointed to hear there was no kettle in the room so you get a hot drink made it was a charge down at the bar. Overall I would stay again!

The location is good, a very short walk to the centre but not too close so that parking is quite easy. The hotel charges a whopping €20 to use its own car park, which is very poor value. The temperature in the room was good, and the heating system responds quickly to changes in the temperature setting. The bed was comfortable, although we would have preferred a carpet rather than the hard floor. Disappointingly no bars of soap or flannels are provided in the bathroom. The number of power sockets in the room is impressive - in all the right places, including three in the bathroom. The internet speed is impressively around 200Mbps. However, many of the television channels didn't work with the result that there were no working English-speaking channels at all. The lift is very difficult to use. It uses touch buttons, which don't work with gloves, through clothes or using any intermediate object. You have to use your bare hands on the buttons, picking up any germs previously deposited from other guests' fingers. This is not hygienic and should be changed. In contrast, in another hotel with Schindler lifts where we often stay, the lift buttons are contactless with proximity sensors. Breakfast is a whopping €20 per person, so we went to Agora instead.

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions since 2018, the hotel has a great location for shops, beach & tunnel. However after returning from a 5 night stay, I am not sure I would choose this hotel again for anything over a couple of nights. Before arriving I emailed asking for a quiet room away from the road and bar. This was not provided, after our first night of no sleep I should have asked reception for another room. But thought it might improve. Well it didn’t we have’t slept for 5 nights. Room was too hot so we opened the window but the road was loud and busy including noise from the bar over the weekend. Another thing the tv only had 2 English news channels, aircon didn’t work a couple of days and maid service was terrible, a couple of times the bed wasn’t even made. The rooms need an update. On the plus side the reception staff are very friendly and the breakfast buffet is very nice.

Disappointing from the IBIS brand. Expect better for the money.

Disappointing compared to others of the same brand. Rooms very basic and average. Bathroom very small with bad musty smell from drains. Beds are two singles pushed together. Odd mattress topper which is loose on top. Reasonably comfortable but not the best. Encouraged at check in to NOT have room serviced each day of staying longer than one night. At these prices it’s the least we deserve but the guilt won and we did as they suggested. Breakfast is very expensive and very very average. Tiny car park - expect it to be full unless you arrive early. Much cheaper parking in public car park just along the road. Popular no doubt because of its location. Which is good. Staff friendly enough but again average rather than memorable for the right reasons.

Clean, comfortable room with en-suite and air-conditioning. Toiletries supplied but nothing else like refreshments or a fridge. Breakfast good with plenty of choices. Great location, Market place a 5 minute walk, the beach 10 minutes or so away, and plenty of bars and restaurants along the way. Overall good, but quite expensive for budget hotel. Breakfast not included and parking available at 20 euros a night.
