We have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years as a couple as well as with our kids most recently. The hotel is very family friendly with facilities like the pool being a key highlight for the kids. Breakfast is good, and there are plenty of options, which are both tasty and fresh. Most recently though, the standard of cleanliness within the rooms seems to have dropped. The carpet in our room looked tired and stained in parts of the room and there were also a few surface areas that were rather dusty. Upon close inspection of the carpets, I found crumbs by the underneath the nooks and crannies of the furnishings. The room aesthetic could definitely do with refurbishment as it doesn't seem on par with other Novotels I have stayed in recently. The pull out beds are a hazard for all as the ridges on the sides of the bed are hard and metal and they would definitely benefit from some protective lining.

We held our functional conference at the Novotel for 70 people and I must say, the customer service we received was first class. Nothing was too much trouble. A big shout out to Anjana and the team, our event team even said that in all the years and venues we have used, the service we received at the Novotel was the best by far! We hired the whole of the conference area which was perfect for us since it had the main room plus 3 break out rooms. There was also a good sized area for refreshments and networking within the conference area. we stayed for 1 day and 1 night and the whole experience was great. There was plenty of good quality food for breakfast, lunch and for our private dinner, plus tea/coffee and snacks throughout the day. The only negative is that some of the decor/bedrooms could use a refresh to smarten them up a bit. The hotel location is great, 5 mins by cab from the train station. Free parking, pool and small gym. This hotel is great value for money and one that I will definitely be using again for our conferences.

It was a family weekend, and the children loved the swimming pool. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was fabulous, and easy access to the city centre made it a wonderful choice of hotel. We all wished we could have stayed longer
