i was allowed early check-in as i arrived early from the airport staffs very welcoming and friendly room very clean and comfortable breakfast buffet was very good thanks for the food vouchers!

Overall, the stay at Ibis Hotel Kota Bharu was comfortable. However, for a reputable chain-brand hotel, the use of such a low-quality hair dryer was disappointing. The wall-mounted hair dryer cuts off power every 15 seconds and can only be used again after waiting 4–5 minutes. This caused significant inconvenience, especially when rushing in the morning. I contacted the reception to request a standalone hair dryer and waited over 10 minutes, but it was never delivered or they need longer time to deliver. Furthermore, after checking out on 20/1, I discovered an unexpected charge of RM19 on my credit card statement on 24/1. No explanation or prior notification was provided, which was both shocking and unacceptable. I subsequently contacted I Hotel Kota Bharu on 24/1, and a friendly and helpful staff member named Iru informed me that he would check with the finance department and revert. As this was my first stay at Ibis Hotel Kota Bharu, the overall experience was not pleasant. The inconvenience caused and the unexplained credit card charge, without proper communication, reflect poorly on the hotel’s service standards. I request that this matter be looked into seriously.
