Prague – visit the royal city!

Prague – because of its beautiful architecture and perfectly preserved monuments – belongs to the most popular European cities. It is estimated that anually 6-7 million tourists visit the Czech capital. They can count on numerous attractions, as well as excellently prepared accommodation services – their array including, among others, Ibis Praha Old Town and Century Old Town Prague.

The Vltava River divides the central part of Prague into two sides. On its right bank lies the Old Town, where we can admire the famous Town Hall’s tower crowned with the 15th-century astronomical clock Orloj. The Old Town is an attraction on its own, though. Narrow cobbled streets, historic buildings, museums and galleries – their charm renders that you could easily stroll through the Prague Old Town for hours.

On the left side of the Vltava River lies Mala Strana (Lesser Town of Prague) – a district conjoined to the Old Town by the stone Charles Bridge (also one of the most recognizable symbols of Prague). Here you can find numerous historic tenement houses, churches or cosy cafés as well. Fully covered with graffiti John Lennon’s Wall and the narrowest street in the world – Vinarna Certowka (only about 50 centimetres wide!) are definitely worth seeing.

Mala Strana adjoins Hradczany, viz the largest castle complex in the world in terms of area, according to the Guiness World Records. Apart from the Royal Castle, to the complex belong: St. Vitus Cathedral (which has been uder construction for about 600 years), the gardens along with the Belvedre building (royal summer residence) and the famous Golden Street, former place of the local goldsmiths.
