My stay at the Mercure was second to none. I was so worried as I booked last minute with my two year old little girl but I needn't be worried. The staff went above an beyond for us. Sonia was a superstar. She was so caring, thoughtful and went above her duties to help me and my daughter, she deserves a pay rise! One of the chefs cooked my daughter a pizza (for Free) when he noticed she wasn't eating anything from the dinner service. The bar man gave my daughter some pineapple juice. These things you can't just get anywhere. The maid always helped me into my room with my pushchair. The dinner service ladies was always so kind and chatted. Yes, the hotel isn't exactly perfect for children as it's mainly adults and there is no entertainment nor playground inside BUT as soon as you leave there is a playground for children, the beach, restaurants etc. The room is perfect size. A proper double bed. Soft pillows. Kettle, fridge. Everything you need. I would stay here again every time and I am so grateful to everyone who helped me and made me feel so comfortable when I was on my own with my daughter.

An absolute hidden gem. The Mercure in Benidorm is the first hotel we have stayed at, over a nine year stint, that has really hit the mark with quality, service and ambiance. Our 9 strong party of vet football friends always choose the old town as a venue due to its beauty and traditional Spanish feel. Of course we venture along the strip a few times during the late evening mid week but the hotel choice is important. We don’t want drunk stag parties abusing guests and staff but a hotel that has a clientele that has respect. The Mercure is just that. Lovely pool, reception, bar areas and facilities. Set back on the outskirts of town. The food is incredible for a hotel chain. A special mention for Mimi, who was the most delightful member of the catering staff and pool bar team. Simply a joy to have her serving us at breakfast and around the pool. Please only come to the Mercure if you want the pleasures of Benidorm in the traditional sense. 10/10.

The Mercure is a wee oasis in Benidorm. The rooms were spotless and quiet. Beds were so comfortable best night sleep on holiday in a long time. Staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The buffet breakfast was good, busy but the tables were cleared quickly , the choice was good only slight complaint was the hot food should have been hotter. Would definitely stay here again.

Overview This hotel has so many great opportunities to be excellent however does fall short in some basic areas, in particular the food and certain hotel policies. The Hotel It must be said that the hotel and its grounds are kept very clean and tidy with a relaxed modern feel to the surroundings. Reception is always staffed well and are on hand to help with the needs of the guests and does so in a timely manner. The Rooms Just like the rest of the hotel the rooms are modern and well decorated however they definitely are on the smaller sized rooms with the toilet, shower and sink all a very tight squeeze. We had a few issues with water pressure and temperature however the hotel did resolve these issues promptly. The Food I wouldn’t recommend going half board as the food is seriously under par from what was expected especially given the previous reviews. Unless battered Cauliflower, overcooked Chicken legs and questionable seafood are your thing it’s more than likely you’ll end up eating elsewhere. It’s a shame because occasionally they would have the odd really tasty meal option however it wasn’t that often. As has been mentioned before by guests the hot breakfast is shockingly bad however the continental breakfast was very good. The Pool This hotel has a very nice pool and relaxed poolside atmosphere surrounded by lush greenery. It’s not a heated pool, so expect that it’s going a cold swim but on a hot day it might be an ideal way to cool down. There are a fair number of comfortable sun lounges available around the pool however the hotel massively over charges for the use of the day beds with a huge 100€ fee for just one day! Yes that’s right 100€ for just one day, the hotel does give you 80€ in bar credit to use one the day of hire, but good luck spending that in just one day, especially if you’re staying on a half board basis. They sat unused, roped off for the entirety of our day, such a waste of opportunity for both the hotel and its guests alike. Tip I would highly recommend getting an extended terrace room as it’s very handy and offer that bit extra space to enjoy the sun. .

An excellent stay at this hotel. Our first time here but definitely be back. Location great food lovely and the decor was amazing. Rooms lovely and free pool towels for the duration of the stay. Pool Area really nice and sunbeds comfortable.
