We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay and it exceeded our expectations on every level. From the warm welcome of the staff, 5* facilities all across the resort, high standard of food/drink in all restaurants/bars to the stunning natural extensive beach. We particularly enjoyed the gym/spa facilities including the daily exercise classes (especially the pool bases aqua classes) provided by the highly professional Nalin, Ambru and the rest of the fantastic team. Nalin was extremely friendly and always ensured our needs were being catered for. We really appreciated him taking the time to engage with us and share his knowledge of the resort and local area. Other staff to give a special mention to are Keenan in the Turquoise restaurant and Monica in Aja restaurant.

Disappointing!

Having stopped at Rixos on the palm dubai,I was expecting something great from this hotel as this was supposed to be an upgrade to premium. Sadly I think the only upgrade was the drinks! The decor was ok, room decor was good but not a patch on the suite in Dubai. The restaurants were ok but not amazing. The best was aja of which we had teppanyaki one night which cost us extra , the show was ok, food just not a patch on others I’ve had! The staff on the whole weren’t great either the majority especially reception just don’t smile or say anything to you. You do get a few that are good but majority to be honest need a bit of training, especially the security. These guys near the pool need to take a chill pill and remember we are the guests not them! When you have a shortage of sun beds round the pool and adult areas with 100s of beds empty why are you kicking people off with teenage kids! Complete joke! I have read people’s reviews saying that kids are running about and making noise that’s what kids do, there are areas just for adults but they choose to sit by the pool when families have no choice! Numerous people got moved from these beds including us one day just because my son was 15 and listening to music! This was very annoying especially as I’ve said adults were taking other beds up! This needs to be sorted. Overall the hotel just lacks atmosphere and I would suggest if you’re going to the Middle East try Rixos on the palm Dubai which is much better.

We have spent many wonderful holidays at Rixos Downtown Antalya so we were very excited to stay at this premium hotel, all I can say is save your money & go to Turkey! Our Seaview King room stunck of cooking from the main resturant below & we were on the fourth floor, I complained to the Duty manager Mamoud who smiled & did not offer to upgrade us. The Turquoise buffet is repetitive and the food is cold ,congealed & frankly unappetising again we complained after 15 nights of poor quality food not 5 star. The pool area is like a holiday camp full of kids under 10 with inflatables screaming allday,not relaxing, the beach was beautiful but has no toilet so you have to walk half a mile in the heat to the pool toilets! The hotel is 90% Russian these people were happy to eat their dessert alongside their main meal, they were rude and abrupt & there was a fight at the pool with a Brtish guest. As someone else wrote on here they walk about in their fake designer gear like they own the place, the Europeans we spoke to all felt the same and said this is not a five star resort & would not return, on the upside the staff were wonderful,the building is beautiful but save your money and go else where, preferably Turkey where Rixos know how to run their hotels to a 5 star standard.

The hotel itself was lovely , we had a one bedroom suite it was amazing so spacious couldn’t fault it , My only qualm is that I didn’t feel like I was in Abu Dhabi , I missed the service and cleanliness of other 5* hotels that I’ve stayed at mainly in Dubai! ie the toilets a few times they were blocked and not clean, this would never happen in the other hotels I stayed at which was a shame Food in turquoise was very repetitive Mermaid plain , not much choice Orient . Didn’t like at all !! Couldn’t fault the staff either! but I just didn’t get the feel of being in Abu Dhabi felt like I was in Türkiye ,
