Fantastic place to stay

7 adults stayed to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. We had a terrace ocean view 2 bedroom suite as well as a hinterland 2 bedroom apartment. We spent most of the time together in the ocean view terrace suite enjoying the amazing view. The suites were very comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms was great. 5 of us ventured into the pool briefly. There are lots of great food options in easy walking distance of the hotel.

Next to the room where a man was shot in 2013. We had to go through a door that lef to 2 double doors, when I went out onto the balcony to look at the view, I couldn’t miss the room next to ours, it looked like a crime scene with a bullet hole in the glass door. Really off putting

The most expensive accommodation we stayed in for the most disappointing experience we encountered over a 3 week road trip. The place is tired, dirty and in need of a total make-over. The 'smart' TV had no internet connection, therefore useless. The shower spa jets were grotty and the step in was very precarious. We could not turn off the entrance area light at night without withdrawing the swipe card from the power slot (no switch), but that meant we could not then have the A/C on. So we opened the balcony door to catch a breeze, only to be met with all the noise and cigarette smoke from the venue below. I could go on, but what's the point. The place was SUPER disappointing.

Location is good and the staff were very nice. The room could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust. Arrived late in the evening and when we pulled the curtains closed there was about 2 hundred small flies that flew into the room and were everywhere. Note: we didn't even open the balcony door prior to this. It was not necessarily the fault of the mantra but no one answered at reception or housekeeping so we had to go to reception to get bug spray. I am not particularly fussy usually, but these were everywhere. Had to spray the room - so that and a little more attention the cleaning would be my only comment.

We stayed in a beachpool view room with a king size bed and spa. It had been refurbished but the carpet was old and worn through in patches and the lounge was old and appeared dirty. The TV was small for the room. To us the room was overpriced. Otherwise fine,
