We stayed at BreakFree Beachpoint in a 2 bedroom city view room. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable with great views. Beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean, and information provided for our late arrival was great. This stay was great value for money and I'd stay again in a flash. Highly recommended.

Close enough to Cavil Ave but far enough away from the hustle

Spent 10 nights there. We were a little disappointed on arrival at being given a room on the 4th floor on the side street with beach views from the balcony (given that the advertisement had only 4 photo's and was clearly of a unit a lot higher and at the front with amazing beach/ ocean views) A bonus was the fact that we had an ensuite and air con in the main bedroom (which was not listed but should be) A few issues required attention and were quickly sorted by the building maintenance man. A couple of things that need to be improved, *The second bedroom had no air con, the ceiling fan was very noisy and it got very hot in there during the day (we tried cooling with the 2 air cons on but it did not help) *Some of the kitchen equipment is old and needs replacing (had to get a new pair of tonges during the stay as the one there fell apart, reception gave us new ones on the spot. *The frypan and saucepan were crap so we ended up buying a new one for use during our stay * The window winders may need to be greased as it was hard to open and close all of the windows at times *The washing machine left marks on some of our clothes (some were new purchased during our stay) The apartment was clean, fairly well appointed and very roomy (3 adults and 1 almost teenager) The apartment was serviced during our stay Overall the stay was really enjoyed by all, the location is great as it's away from most of the busy Cavill Ave but close enough to walk there as we did many times. We will be back, maybe next year. Hopefully getting a better unit slightly higher and at the front like in the photos!

Stayed here for 7 nights unfortunately we were late checking in due to flight delays, we did contact the resort to let them know we were going to be late,  when we arrived we couldn't get anybody to answer the call button for the gate and could see nobody at reception, eventually had to phone the resort number to get hold of  someone, they came and had to manually open the boom gate. Got our room keys and headed up to find that we were given a one bedroom unit (having booked a two bedroom ocean view), after a couple of calls were told to head back to reception and the night duty would sort it out. A manager had to be called in as the night duty said there were no other rooms available, the manager arrived and didn't even acknowledge us, after about 10 mins she came out and said that the junior receptionist had mucked up and our room was given to another guest and they would try to sort out another room, this took quite a while so more waiting and eventually we were put into another room for the night and told it would be sorted in the morning, we were offered a refund for our first night due to the mix up. We went to reception next morning around 10.30 and was told it was being looked into so we headed out for breakfast whilst they sorted everything out, arrived back around midday to be told that housekeeping were cleaning our new room and they'd call us when it was ready, had to wait another hour and follow up again. Whilst we eventually were given a 2 bedroom with ocean views which was very nice and what we had initially booked we were rather disappointed in the lack of communication, we had to follow up at every stage on our room, we didn't hear back from anybody as to whether we were happy with the outcome or to apologise for the inconvenience, I would have thought that management would at least have had the courtesy of following up with us at some stage during our stay, we also had to follow up in regards to the refund and when we did we were told we had to email them with our details. Overall we had a pleasant stay in the end and the location is fantastic as it's a short walk to the shops, tram and the beach is opposite, I do think that their customer service definately needs improving.

Thanks Chris for taking the time to place your comments. I am sorry that there was an issue with your room and I am glad that we were able to sort this out. As noted our young junior did place the keys for the you and others incorrectly , and I can assure you we have taken measures to ensure this doesn't happen again. I did arrange for the next day to put you in an ocean facing apartment even though you had booked an ocean view room, and we did ask that the cleaners clean this as soon as the guests checked out. When I spoke to reception again they advised that you had gone out as I did try and call the room. I did speak to someone from your party and they advised that they were very happy with the room as they were walking though reception. As the booking was made direct at the hotel we did need it in writing your bank details as this is part of our compliance for Audit purposes. Once again I am sorry that this happened and we do hope to welcome you back again soon.

Written Feedback was already provided to on form provided to reception at checkout - no follow-up recd. Location and view was good, rooms/apt clean, but everything is old and tired and requires maintenance. - the 2 bedroom windows don't close fully which meant we got noise from roads below at night and early morning. - both toilets have issues - dont flush completely, require a couple of goes/waste of water. - wall repairs in bedroom and bathroom not complete/patches not painted - unit smells of tobacco smoke and even worse when air-con is turned on - no iron in unit and was difficult to obtain one from reception - lounge chairs old and uncomfortable - soft and uncomfortable beds

Uninterrupted Ocean View

Exceeded expectations. We had a Ocean View 2 bedroom unit on the tenth floor. My favourite part of the day was walking into the living area each morning and just seeing Ocean. It was breathtaking. Building is a short walk to Cavill Avenue. There is also a coffee shop is located next door.
