Very happy with the Norfolk. Great staff and gorgeous public areas. Room was nice and everything worked great. The area is not so great to walk around but not particularly bad. Pool area is just ok and needs some maintenance on the deck. It's up next to an unattractive condo building, it could look a lot more appealing. Overall great service, beautiful gardens, reasonable price. Would stay agian.

Iconic hotel in Nairobi

Amazing and helpful employees. We stayed three separate nights and upon returning to the hotel I was greeted by name by Kanja at the front desk and she went out if her way to make our stay perfect. Rooms and grounds are beautiful, there's a gym and outdoor pool. Concierge set us up with some local activities such as Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary, Giraffe Sanctuary and walking in the Karura forest, all within 40 min drive of hotel.

The rooms are clean and the staff very pleasant. I enjoyed staying there. And it is definitivly my first choice for next trip in Nairobi (Kenya). The food is very tasty also. The shuttle is very confortable and immediatly available when requested or needed

The worst. Avoid at all costs

We were given the worst possible room in the entire hotel. It was worse than a Motel 6. Filthy, ratty furniture. When we called and asked to be moved they said it would be another $80. And then the lady said she would discount it be $8 because I took photos of how bad the room was.

We recently stayed at Fairmont The Norfolk, and it was an experience to remember, thanks to the wonderful staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A special mention to Leah at the front desk—she truly did a fabulous job handling our booking and taking great care of us throughout our stay. Leah is undoubtedly a superstar! From making sure our airport transfer was perfectly on time to offering us a great price for an extra half-day stay, she was attentive and professional in every way. Another standout was Leon, an intern at the restaurant. His understanding of our specific food requirements was remarkable, and the chef did a brilliant job preparing delicious Indian vegetarian meals for us. It truly felt like home away from home. The warmth and dedication of the staff made our stay incredibly special. We highly recommend Fairmont The Norfolk and look forward to visiting again!
