A place for the whole family and activities to match - golf, tennis, swimming, reading room and a lovely walk to town. Lunch and dinner in the bar and dining areas were great with food to match. It’s a shame that breakfast was such a let down - too many families not controlling their kids so the breakfast area looked like there were food fights in the breakfast area. Perhaps a ‘child free’ area could be considered so others don’t need to tread through the food on the floor.

We stayed in room 209, it was spacious, the beds were comfy., there were a lot of pillows to choose from, which is really good. The room overlooks the car park and golf course, the speed hump was very noisy, the rooms aren’t very sound proof so the yelling children in the hall were annoying. The breakfast buffet was included in our package and was very nice, there was plenty of food to choose from, the server that cleared our table was friendly, I think her name was Karen, the dining room was light and airy, the view of the valley was spoilt by the big metal frame in your line of sight. We ate Embers Grill, there was a hiccup with our booking which was quickly fixed. Our meals were very nice In room dining leaves a lot to be desired with regard to selection. It was nice to go away, but this is more of a family resort than somewhere to go for couples for a romantic weekend away. It wasn’t anywhere near as grand as I thought it would be. We purchased the package through Luxury Escape which I thought it would be, however it definitely wasn’t. Ubika spa was amazing, definitely book a treatment with them during your stay Check in and check out was easy with no hassles

Overall a good experience, stayed for three nights so that we could do some bushwalks through the Blue Mountains, along with some shopping for antiques As well as enjoying the good food experiences that are plentiful in the blue Mountains.

Disappointing visit.

We stayed here years ago and decided to relive a wonderful experience but were disappointed with the very tired rooms and building, poor, slow service, ordinary food and refusal of anyone in our entire visit to answer a phone. We had to assume that they were very short staffed. We couldn’t get a table at the restaurant (even though we went early and only wanted one course) after trying unsuccessfully to book by phone so we cannot report on the restaurant food. We can, however say the lobby cafe coffee was excellent. We would certainly not bother about going back.

Beautiful stay- prime location

I was a bit concerned about my initial booking upon reading the reviews. BUT WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL STAY! Stayed sunday, then booked an extra night because we just loved it so much. Its close to leura village and katoomba central. Took us 13 mins to get to Scenic world, where we spent the whole day. The kids adventure slide and park were closed, but the ice-skating rink I believe was open on sunday (two sessions 10am and midday I think- but we didn't use). The pool was beautiful and heated, along with the spa, and the kids played some games and enjoyed the play area and mirror maze. Spend whole arvo on the grounds watching ducks and ducklings in pond and playing tennis and chess. kids - 7 and 5- loved it! Had dinner at Embers, which yes the service could have been better- it was quite slow and the manager was clearly not very customer orientated- but the food was lovely and it meant we didn't have to drive out of the resort after a big day exploring the blue mountains. Sublime lounge had a good looking menu but the opening hours of 10am to 5pm were tricky so we didn't get to experience that (as we were out during day) - would have been amazing if they were open for dinner so we could have tried that menu had another dining option to Embers. Buffet brekkie on sunday and monday morning was beautiful with the usual hot/cold stuff. View over mountains while eating was even better and even spotted some kookaburras as well! Room was clean and spacious and was glad to see the windows opened too! Bathroom was renovated. Special shout out to Zeke at reception who was exceptionally accommodating and helpful :) We will be back!
