Quite Disappointing with Unfriendly Staff

Happened not only on my reservation but our friends' reservations too! Our recent stay at Mercure Nusa Dua was, regrettably, rather disappointing. Upon our arrival, we found the front desk staff to be quite unhelpful. Despite six of them being present, not one acknowledged us until we had to ask for assistance multiple times. When we mentioned that our room was part of our friends' group (Mr A & Ms B), Ketut, one of the front desk staff, remarked that we should have said the reservation was under Ms B’s name instead of Mr A’s, as it would have made things easier for him. This was rather frustrating, especially as the invoice we received from Mercure did not include our name, just the check-in date. (We found out on the checking out date that MR A and Ms B was categorised as "Company Name" in their system instead of Groups' Name) The check-in process was not only slow but also rather unpleasant. After being asked to sign a form, Ketut responded to our simple "yes, ok" with an unnecessary "be patient" when we reached for the pen. This condescending remark only added to our frustration. Rather than calming the situation, Ketut’s attitude only made it worse. If this is the standard of service that’s recognised, it’s little wonder we were left feeling disappointed. To top it off, the internet wasn’t working during our stay, and the bedsheet in our room had a stain that was never changed. All in all, our experience at Mercure Nusa Dua was marred by unprofessional service and a lack of attention to basic guest needs. Definitely not gonna stay here in the future

We stayed last here last year and it was ok, its location being a big plus. We booked again, this year hoping that there would have been improvements made but sadly, not! The general fabric of the hotel is tired and needing a lot of TLC. The lift that was out of action last year, has still not been repaired. Our room, 338, was small, dim and had no drawer space for clothes. There were huge gaps around the doors to the tiny balcony, allowing wind and insects easy access! The pool was family friendly and warm. Not really a lot of sun beds around the pool but if you got one, they were fine. The private spot on the beach is a bonus but even there, a number of the sun umbrellas were falling to bits. Breakfast was mediocre and we only took it because, last year, we found it difficult to get breakfast anywhere outside the hotel. The staff were friendly enough and responded quickly to reported problems. They do not provide hand towels for use, which we found strange. Reception, when we arrived, insisted that we had not paid, despite us having a confirmation letter from Hotels.com saying we had! I also showed them our confirmation email, as well but they insisted that we had to pay. We are in the process of claiming back one of the payments we made, from Accor Hotels.

Hotel is a huge property with pleanty of place ot roam around. Stayed with family and had booked 3 bed room, which had huge space and extra room. They have a private section at Nusa dua beach and provide transport to beach and back every hour. They provide Bicycles at 25000 IDR and we had fun taking them out into Nusa dua area and Bali collection Mall which is nearby. Good Indian Restaurants are close by. Service at the hotel ( Housekeeping) has slow response.

Short staycation in this hotel, super memorable. Thank you to Ms. Happy in Reservation, very friendly and noted our request very well. Room with pool view, nice GYM and restaurant by pool is excellent. Had meals and drinks by the pool, thing that we want to repeat. I had a great holiday in this hotel 😍😍

Worst Accor hotel I’ve stayed in

Do not recommend this hotel at all!! It’s so run down, it falling apart. The beds are hard and stained . The staff don’t speak much English . The room is so dirty , the walls have marks and dirt all over them . The pool is falling apart and the railing on the infinity pool is broken and has a warning sign . Only great comment I have is it’s Great location to restaurants . If you are an Accor member stay at Novotel instead . Was told I could only have soft drink as my free drink as I’m not a platinum member , never heard of that and have stayed all over the world . I give the hotel a star rating of a 2
