Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I am truly sorry to hear that your experience with us, both during the Christmas dinner and your stay, fell so far below expectations. This is certainly not the standard we aim to provide, and I completely understand your frustration. I would like to sincerely apologise for the issues you encountered with heating in the bar area. Your comfort should never have been compromised, especially during a festive event, and I’m sorry that the radiator was not functioning as advised. I am also very disappointed to hear your comments regarding the Christmas dinner. The temperature, quality and presentation of the dishes you described are unacceptable, and this has been addressed directly with our kitchen and food & beverage teams so we can prevent this happening again. Your feedback is invaluable in identifying where immediate improvements are needed. Regarding accessibility, I am genuinely sorry for the challenges you faced. Your comments about disabled parking, signage and door access have been noted very seriously. We recognise the importance of providing facilities that are accessible and easy to navigate for all guests, and we will be reviewing these areas as a priority. While I am pleased that you found our staff to be the redeeming part of your visit, I appreciate that this does not make up for the other shortcomings you experienced. I’m delighted to hear that you and your wife were given such a warm welcome on arrival and that the majority of our team, including Lisa at checkout, made a positive impression. I’m also pleased that you enjoyed our breakfast — the team will be thrilled to hear your comments. However, I’m truly sorry that certain aspects of your room did not meet expectations. The issues you mentioned, including the paintwork, carpet condition and water pressure, are not reflective of the standards we aim to provide. We are currently undergoing refurbishment in phases across the hotel, and your friend’s room being in one of the upgraded areas reflects the improvements that are still ongoing. Your feedback helps us prioritise these areas more effectively. I’m also disappointed to hear about your experience with a member of the bar team. This is not acceptable, and I will be addressing this directly to ensure it does not happen again.
