We had the worst stay for my birthday/Mother’s day. Let me start with saying the concierge and baggage staff were great from the start and even when leaving so they should get rave reviews. We booked the corner suite since we were told it had a separate room. We wanted to be able to order a meal in since our 1 year old goes to bed quite early. Unfortunately the room doors had slanted shutters and he was able to see us and the light the came in the room. There was no way to adjust the shutters. Also the doors had no lock to stay closed so he kept opening and closing them which was not fun. The a/c did not work on a hot weekend in Seattle so our room remained above 74 the whole night. We called the front desk but they said the maintenance guys were not there and they did not know how to adjust/fix it. I could handle the other stuff and suck it up but the last part killed me. We went to bed exhausted from trying to get our son to sleep and passed out. However I woke up around 6 am to the smell of piss. For a second I thought I wet the bed. But the sheets were dry and our son was in his pack n play. My husband lifted the sheet and the mattress was reeking of piss! Someone had clearly put a sheet over the piss stained mattress and was hoping that would cover it up! So sadly having a long lie in bed on Mother’s Day did not happen. They did not have another suite to move us into and only a smaller room which they said we couldn’t have for late checkout. They refused a refund since we booked with a 3rd party, and the 3rd party is chasing them for it now. It totally ruined the morning having to pack up our 1 year old and find another hotel for the day at 7 am. No apologies from the hotel either.

Difficult check in process Room not ready Staff did not text when room ready, as had been promised Waited 1.5 hrs past 4 pm check in before room ready Had to show ID and credit card 3 separate times — to 3 different people on check in — why? Asked for daily room service at check in but wasn’t done. When reported to front desk upon discovery when returned to room at 6:40 pm was told not possible, too late. Room was fine but service was well below par. Negative experience, would not recommend.

Bar sink didn't work. $8 water bottle by the bed was a bit sneaky. The single elevator was rather inconvenient. Internet also went out on Tuesday morning. Accommodations were large and very nice though. Staff were friendly.

The Andra Hotel was very well located and kept very clean. It was next to a variety of great shops including one of the best bakeries in town (I've lived in Seattle for 10 years). My only issues were that we arrived at 5 pm and the room was not ready , albeit only a 10 minute wait we should have been immediatly provided our room access based on our arrival time. Lastly, one elevator was down which made waiting for an elevator very long. I know this is mostly out of their control but it was still a inconvenience. Most likely this will not be the case when someone else stays there. All-in-all it was a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to someone visiting Seattle or seeing a show in that area.
