Located close to station. Car park adjacent to hotel but need to pay. 15-20 minutes to old town n tourist areas. Clean room n good size. Helpful staff, Sudip n Satino. Restaurants around but get very heavily booked in Takayama. Either reserved early or queue up early.

The staff team was friendly and yet professional and well understood the request from me and my mom staying in same room for 2 nights with AccorPlus StayPlus benefits. I love hotel's boutique style along with its decorations and functions. If I have a future plan to stay at Takayama, i will definitely choose this hotel again.

The hotel is conveniently located as it’s close to the long distance bus and train station. The room is comfortable and the staff are helpful.

The hotel is new and clean, interior and atmosphere are cozy. Overall, we enjoyed the stay in Mercure Takayama. There is only 1 concern regarding the welcome drinks given. We just would like to feedback regarding the welcome drink in this hotel. Our group consist of 9 adults and 2 children and stayed for 3 nights. We have 2 members card, 1 Diamond and 1 platinum. We booked 5 rooms in total, 2 rooms from Platinum member, and 3 rooms from Diamond member cards. We are entitled 4 cards of welcome drinks and according to the staff in the bar, we only have 4 welcome drinks for all 5 rooms. It is written in the card that "You and your guest entitled a drink", looking at this phrase, means each card is for 2 welcome drinks. If each card is only for 1 person, then you should state clearly that each of this card is only for 1 drink. However, when the bar staff checked with the reception staff, a Caucasian girl, we cannot remember the name, she was uneasy, and told us in very firm manner that for all 5 rooms we stayed, we only entitled for 4 drinks and there was the policy that we forced to accept. We feel that, the hotel not supposed to be very calculative regarding this issues. Moreover we are Diamond and Platinum members. We are Accor Loyal customers and has joined the membership program since 2010 and 2011. We gave this feedback, it is not about we are very calculative about this welcome drinks, it is not that we cannot afford for such drinks. But the attitude of the reception staffs who behave unpleasantly ruined our whole enjoyable experiences staying in Mercure Hida Takayama. For the Hotel General Manager, please take note on this issues, and hopes other guests especially Accor Loyal Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Customer will not experiences such issues in the future.
