Lovely sea front hotel in Paignton overlooking the Pier.

Nice sea. Front hotel with a lovely view of the pier. Rooms clean bed large bathroom great walk in shower . Toiletries are a nice touch lifts to all floors.Biscuits are dry and could be better coffee pods a nice bonus.Breakfast is ok could be a better experience with various yoghurts and nicer bread and no clear information that you can request poached eggs and hash browns. Special mention to John on reception friendly and helpful.

Right on the seafront, we booked ibis next door but they upgraded us as they weren't busy enough and we got a nice double room, all modern, only issues we had were the shower screen is pointless and they charge you £15 for parking in their car park which is a pet hate, also it's only £12 on the seafront across the road, breakfast was pretty standard and most staff were excellent.

We were there for the weekend and it was our first visit to this hotel (we had seen it being built as we have family in the area). First impression, it's a nice building in a nice location and we had no problem parking (albeit very expensive - and not sure how easy during 'high' season). My first slight annoyance was at check in. I am a member so you have all my details AND I checked in on line (to make things easier - apparently) only to have to go through all the details again at check in. Receptionist was polite and professional but I get the feeling they are used to this frustration from their customers (I was definitely frustrated!). The room was OK, not luxurious but relatively clean and tidy, honestly, I wonder how long this will last, as I said it is a new build but already things are getting a little frayed and equipment a little wobbly.... Bed however was very comfortable, great sleep. Bathroom is a wet room type and I am sure designers never bother to use their products. Looks ok but when you shower the water goes under the glass partition and pools all around the toilet - which means either you mop up the water with a towel or if you use the facility don't wear trousers...... also the soap dispenser by the sink is placed in a position where it drips everywhere - so nothing major but give it time, it will very soon look manky (technical term 😜). Breakfast was standard buffet type, eggs cooked to order which was ok and the staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful, but the standard of the other items was maybe ok if I came down when first cooked but when you leave food in hot plates etc they of course dry out but, we all found something to eat so no major problem. Would I stay again? Honestly I am not sure I would, I recognise that by today's standard we didn't pay a fortune to stay, but then it was end of January. No idea how much it would be in the height of the season but I would not pay more for what we got.

Amazing location

Stayed here as was gifted an overnight stay for Valentines night. Hotel is in a superb location overlooking the pier and the sea I much prefer the beach and sea waves in winter than summer so was a perfect place to stay. The car park is very tight - good job we took my car and not my partners 4 x 4 as would have struggled to park! It is £15 per night payable at check in separate to hotel booking. I am very very very picky where I stay and always stay on the top floor which was accommodated by staff and the view did not disappoint. The room itself was spacious (privilege) clean and had lots of amenities provided - fridge with a orange juice and can of coke, nepresso machine with 4 pods, tea coffee etc. Toiletries in bathroom were an excellent touch everything you need for an overnight stay. The only downside was breakfast seemed rushed and tables left uncleared. The young waitress with long brown hair does need some talking to - she ignored a staff members request to get some tomato ketchup for me and walked the other way - when she returned he called her rude and she shrugged her shoulders and went 'oh well you did it', then as she was carrying some hash browns to a table she stopped and chatted to someone she knew about her weekend plans for a good 5 mins. Would 100% stay again in a privilege room on 4th floor only. The location and view is what makes this hotel.

Beautiful comfy hotel

Stay here!!! This is a relatively new hotel, it is so comfy everything spotless. Very attentive staff. It is very close to the beach and town. I stayed here with family. Breakfast is £10 if you buy at booking or when you check in. It’s comparable to eating breakfast in town price wise, but you have the comfort of being in your hotel. Rooms are beautiful. Comfy clean beds, lovely room amenities. We upgraded and got a view of the beach. I don’t want to go home!!!
