Great Food and Activities, Exceptional Staff, but Needs a Few Tweaks for Perfection

Pros: • Food Variety & Portions: The hotel offers a wide variety of food options and restaurants, with perfectly sized portions that leave you feeling full and satisfied. • Activities for Couples & Families: There’s a good selection of fun activities suited for both couples and families, making it easy to find something enjoyable for everyone. • Bikes Available: Bikes are conveniently available in almost every area of the resort, adding to the ease of getting around. • Friendly Staff (GEM): Our GEM, Anara from SO/ Maldives, was exceptionally friendly and attentive. She guided us through various areas of the resort, assisted us with our dining reservations, and helped keep our schedule organized. She was always there whenever we needed her. • Airport Assistance: Ashfaq from SO/ Maldives provided excellent support at the airport. He guided us through the process, handled our luggage, and offered five-star service. Cons & Suggestions for Improvement: • Privacy of Overwater Villas: The overwater villas lack a bit of privacy. For those looking for a more secluded experience, a beach villa might be a better option. • Complimentary Activity Slots: Increasing the time slots for complimentary activities would be beneficial, especially for guests on shorter stays. • Special Occasion Enhancements: Extra efforts should be made to enhance the experience for guests celebrating special occasions to make their stay even more memorable. • Buffet Fruit Temperature: Fruits in the buffet are served at room temperature. Serving them chilled would be ideal, especially given the warm Maldivian climate. • Alternative Transportation (Tricycles): Offering tricycles for guests who may not know how to ride a standard bike would be a thoughtful addition. • Emergency Mini Market: A small on-site market for emergencies would be useful for guests needing essential items during their stay. • Dental Kit Quality: The dental kit could use some improvements. The toothbrush quality is lacking, and the toothpaste taste could be better.

I recently stayed at the So Maldives for 4 nights with my Family ( 2 kids: 6 and 4 year old) and we had a great time: Pros: - so close to the airport ( 15 to 20 minutes speed boat ride from the airport). we were welcomed by the resort staff at the airport they were very polite and efficient. - The food is amazing!! this was a pleasant surprise as none of the reviews we read earlier mentioned it. Hats off to the chef at citronelle restaurant where we had a buffet breakfast and dinner daily. The selection is huge and the quality is premium. Don't miss the tuna steaks with mango salsa. yum! The chef would personally check with us and get my son his burgers as he asked for them :) the staff at citronelle were amazing, they made the dinning experience more pleasant, I liked that they were friendly but professional. - The beach in the lagoon area was so nice to swim in. This is something that we were not always lucky with in other resorts in the Maldives. Although you expect white soft sands as a given but often you have rough crushed coral and stones. The lagoon has crystal clear water with " medium" softness sand. You can also spot colorful Fish here and there. We spend many hours every day enjoying the beach ! - The kids club " nest" was full of amazing activities. Shout out to Luna and Inna ( I hope I spelled your names right) for their care. thank you for making my kids' stay more special. -the service: every one from day one until we departed was extra attentive and nice. we even asked for a stepping stool for my 4 y/o and they didn't have any so they made one! Ahsan was the person assigned to us, thank you Ahsan for your kindness and fast response to anything we needed help with, you truly made our stay even better. The service was better than many resorts I have been to in the Maldives Cons: - if you want to be away from civilization, this might not be the resort for you as you can still see Male - The main pool ( The rainbow pool as my kids call it) is not the most beautiful main pool I have experienced. - The standard of luxury is different when compared to other 5 star resorts, it feels more like they are dependent on their modern minimalistic design to convey that. It's different but may benefit from a few touches. I highly recommend this resort , especially for quick get aways!

1. 신축답게 빌라 상태가 좋음 2. 개인풀, 특히 해먹이있어 좋았음 밤에 누워서 별구경 가능. 라군 굿 3. 버틀러서비스 최고. 영어가 서툰 나에게 Anara는 한줄기의 빛. 모든 스케쥴을 알맞게 잡아주고 통역까지 도와줌. 무엇보다도 nara는 정말 친절함. 덕분에 수월한 여행! 4. 음식도 맛있음 특히 라줄리 피자.. 잊지못해! 1. The villa is in good condition like a new construction 2. Individual grass, especially hammocks. You can lie down at night and see the stars. Lagoon good 3. Butler service is the best. For me, who is not good at English, Anara is a light. She sets all schedules properly and even helps me with interpretation. Most of all, she is so kind. Thanks to her, an easy trip! 4. The food is delicious, especially Lazuli pizza... I can't forget!

Magical Stay That Exceeded Our Expectations

Our stay at the SO Maldives was nothing short of extraordinary. From solid and clear email communication prior to the trip, to our wonderful villa representative Ahsan, to meal service from incredible servers like Luna, to the surreal dolphin cruise, floating breakfast and spa services, it exceeded our expectations at every turn. Our villa was gorgeous, modern, and right on the water. We could see Manta Rey, fish and even little sharks from our villa throughout our stay. And it truly felt like time here stopped in the most beautiful way possible. The short boat ride from the airport was actually beautiful (and easy). Biking around the villas to restaurants was so much fun. Meals were unbelievably delicious (especially brunch). DJ sets by the pool were so fun. And we loved going to nearby Crossroads to shop, pickup some snacks and enjoy the occasional meal. This was hands down one of the most amazing places we’ve ever been. And we would absolutely return.

Came here on my honeymoon, the facilities were very neat and the resort was just the right size, so it wasn't difficult to get to the spa and restaurant. Citronel's lunch was so delicious, and so was Hadaba's Middle Eastern food. My Butler Anara always showed bright energy and always made sure I was doing well at the resort! Thank you! However, it was a pity that only 3 types of restaurants were available because the restaurant was not diversely operated. However, the working staff was so kind that it was memorable.
