We recently spent 9 nights on this beautiful tiny island with its stunning and easily accesible reef that made for superb, safe snorkling. The staff at the resort are wonderful. So kind and helpful. One of us has some dietary restrictions and the chef couldn't have been more helpful, even making special cakes and desserts for us. The rooms are more spacious than they look on the website and have lovely private outside areas all with a view of the turquoise waters. We have been to the Maldives several times before and Dhawa, with it's laid back, relaxed vibe and amazing reef is our new favourite.

Great experience, great reef and snorkeling with great coral regrowth, overall a good experience. Staff were excellent and professional. Good food choices and good liquor used for cocktails. Sunset bar was great. Spa was good with good specials when we were there.

Dhawa Ihuru is a divers paradise. The island resort now operated by the Banyan Tree group is exactly what you should expect from a Maldivian island resort. A warm welcome on arrival, discreet and attentive customer service staff in the restaurant, bar, rooms and all over this small island. Of note is the 5 star PADI dive center run by Sharath, Nittu and Viju. I have dived with many different dive centers over the years and this one stands out as one of the best. Why? 1) Clean equipment and dive center 2) No broken equipment 3) Great underwater and sea life knowledge 4) Photos and videos taken by Sharath and the team are sent to you immediately post dive (there is no need to take your own camera equipment) But most important of all….. 5) Safety! The team ensure you have your skills up to date before letting you in the water and then put you through a thorough check dive. The dive team, including the boat crew have made my vacation into an unforgettable one - thank you for an amazing 10 days! I will be back!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Dwaha Ihuru , that is a paradise on earth The small island only has beach front villas that are extremely well taken care of We had a jacuzzi in our room, that was super clean and a wonderful feature in a luxury vacation Mini bar is included and offers great drinks to enjoy in the beach bungalow The beach chairs as well as the lounge furniture and the swing are wonderful pieces to relax in front of the beach . It takes about 10 minutes to walk around the island , so it’s just perfect to relax Snorkeling equipment is included and the small reef is just in the front of the bungalows with a beautiful variety of fish Diving and other water sports can be organized through the lovely staff Staff is so friendly and keeps the whole property tidy and full of loving details. There is many people working at the property, so all the needs are being taken care of right away I got a spa package that was a fantastic escape from a busy day to day job . 3 hours full of relaxation and professional massage staff Great variety at the buffet with life bbq and fresh fish with lots of options for every taste and nutrition type Fresh vegetables and salads, appealing decoration and fantastic drinks Freshly squeezed juices upon request and a great life cooking station for different types of eggs, waffles and pancakes in cute shapes like turtles or dolphins , that put a smile on every face We had the pleasure to get served by Habeeb, Afraah, Anu, Hanaah, Rohit and of course many more , their service was outstanding ! What a return ! This was our second stay on this beautiful island. First time was in 2012 and all the positive things remained unchanged. Super friendly and helfpful staff. They made our second stay once more a blast. The island kept its simplicity without the lack of comfort. Sandy feet, lush greenery and the pristine sea make you relax to the maximum. Food is always at a high quality. The reef is close and nice even though you can see some damages too. But it seems it is recovering. We would return any time and recommend this island for people who seek tranquility and authenticity.
