I stayed at this hotel for four nights and this would be our first choice once we're back in the city. Good value for money, residential area (so pretty safe to walk during night) and close to the metro. Friendly staff, specially Kathleen at the reception that made this trip extra special and memorable, with a good insight into what's going on around the city, events and stuff to do in general. Thanks for the Harry Potter exhibition recommendation! She was wonderful and always with a smile on her face and really made me and my family feel welcome during our first stay in Paris.

So overall… the hotel was okay. The staff is what made this hotel a “never again” for me. The air conditioning didn’t work at all.. I brought this up within 15 mins of being in the hotel and the receptionist told me she would have their maintenance look at it but he would not be in until 830 that evening… didn’t happen. She offered to put me in a different room and gave me to the key to check the air conditioning.. that rooms air didn’t work and on top of that it was a single occupancy room. She didn’t apologize for not checking by prior to giving me the room. I brought it up again the next morning and the man told me he would have someone look at it… didn’t happen. Then when I was laying in bed with my family.. a man knocked and immediately opened the door while we were in the room and told me he came to replace the water bottle(s). I asked him when in the history of hotels did someone ever do a half knock and then immediately open the door..he didn’t have an answer he just stared at me and I asked him to leave. Eventually , I had asked for a fan and then that was eventually delivered to the room, I am pretty sure the guy went and made the fan and then brought it. The room was hot and muggy and not a good experience. The hotel is in walking distance car to a decent amount of restaurants and really even the tower (we enjoy walking). One of the gentleman at the reception desk was asleep every time I saw him and I felt like I was more of a bother than a guest when having to ask him about the a/c or for toilet paper. At one point he even told me he doesn’t know what to do about the air conditioning because he was a “fill in” or something along those lines. I am a “big traveler” and travel to (on average) five countries a month and this was easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Again overall the hotel was okay but the staff is what made this not the best experience. Obviously everyone will not have the same experience but I would recommend trying to get into another hotel before settling for this hotel.

I arrived early and was able to get into my room, which was great. This is where the good news stopped. I was told that I was not able to flush the toilet as there was plumbing work beng done in the hotel, but as I was early, I was ok with this. I was told that it would be restored by 3pm, the normal check-in time. I went out, returning to my hotel at 4:20pm to be told it was still not possible to use the toilet. I complained and the lady on the desk phoned her manager, at which point it suddenly became ok to flush it! The room was very cold and the heating didn't seem to be working, so I went downstairs to see if I was doing something wrong. The lady on the desk said, no, probably not, the heating often isn't working - not good enough! They gave me a heater, but...another issue. I opened the bottle of free mineral water in the room to find it had already been opened and was crusty around the lid. Back down to reception to get it swapped for a fresh one. I asked if it was possible to have a late check-out and was told I could stay until 2pm instead of 12 for 30 euros. Again great - until I discovered that the water in my room had been switched off. ANOTHER trip downstairs to get it sorted out - which they did, but...another issue. While it was off, I asked for another bottle of "mineral" water, which they willingly provided. The lady came out of the kitchen wiping the outside, having clearly filled the bottle. Apparently, the so-called "mineral water" is from a filter jug/tap - but apparently this is perfectly acceptable because "it is not from the toilet". When I went back up to my room, my key card was no longer working. This was the last straw. The hotel is hopeless, and the staff, while willing to rectify mistakes, seem neither surprised not bothered by them and seem to think it is strange that I am. I would never stay here again and strongly recommend that you give this place a very wide berth!

Location proved less convenient than hoped. Dense urban area with nearest metro some distance away. Receptionist was helpful. Room was spacious and bathroom newly renovated with great shower. Hotel is on quiet street so noise not an issue. Hotel is a bit query with strange shaped rooms. Great brasserie nearby - Laura.

The room I received has nothing to do with the photos on the site. The room was very small (didn’t bother me so much) no slippers,no cosmetics like in a 4* hotels etc The furniture old and used the walls rusted. The bathroom… small and “practical” Happily they had a good breakfast (the only good point for a 4* hotel) It can be downgraded at a 3 star easily
