Das Mondrian Hongkong punktet mit seiner sehr guten Lage als Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten sowie einem schönen Blick auf die ikonische Skyline. Die Zimmerausstattung und insbesondere die Zimmergröße sind jedoch eher spartanisch und werden dem Anspruch eines Fünfsternehotels nicht gerecht. Besonders enttäuschend war der Service beim Check-in. Statusleistungen wie Willkommensdrinks oder das im Zimmerpreis inkludierte Frühstück wurden fälschlicherweise als besondere Kulanz dargestellt, obwohl diese ohnehin statusbedingt verfügbar gewesen wären. Sehr negativ fiel zudem die Unehrlichkeit beim Thema Upgrade auf. Uns wurde mitgeteilt, wir seien bereits in der höchsten Zimmerkategorie bzw. auf der höchsten Etage untergebracht – später stellte sich heraus, dass es noch mehrere höhere Etagen sowie Upgrade-Möglichkeiten bis hin zu Suiten gegeben hätte. Trotz vorherigem Kontakt mit dem Kundenservice und dem Anlass der Reise (50. Geburtstag) wurde keinerlei Entgegenkommen gezeigt. Insgesamt bleibt der Eindruck eines Hotels mit guter Lage, aber deutlichen Schwächen bei Service, Transparenz und dem erwarteten Fünf-Sterne-Niveau.

While I am pleased that you enjoyed our central location and the panoramic views of the Hong Kong skyline, I am deeply sorry to learn that other aspects of your stay fell short of the five-star standard we aim to provide. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the frustrations you encountered, particularly during your 50th birthday celebration. A milestone such as this should be marked with excellence and care, and it is clear we missed the opportunity to make your stay truly seamless. I was, however, pleased to note that our team prepared a birthday amenity and a handwritten card for your arrival to mark the occasion which was setup in the room prior to your arrival. I am particularly concerned by your comments regarding the lack of transparency during check-in. Honesty is a cornerstone of our service philosophy, and it is disappointing to hear that your status benefits were not presented clearly. Please be assured that I have personally reviewed this with our Front Office team to ensure our communication is both transparent and reflective of the respect we have for our loyal guests. Regarding your room upgrade as an ALL-Platinum member, I would like to clarify our procedures to ensure total transparency. The Platinum benefit entitles members to an upgrade to the next room category, subject to availability. Receive an upgrade to the next room category, if available at time of check-in. Excludes villas, one-of-a-kind suites, speciality suites and presidential suites. As you had booked a Harbour Premium King room, our team allocated the highest possible floor available within that category on the day of your arrival. However, I sincerely apologize if this was communicated in a way that felt misleading or dismissive of your loyalty. Furthermore, I have noted your feedback regarding the room size and furnishings. While our design reflects a specific aesthetic, we recognize that luxury is tied to comfort, and your comments are invaluable as we look for ways to enhance our guest experience. I also apologize for the lack of proactive service regarding your luggage; this is certainly not the level of attentiveness we strive for. We take your feedback seriously as a catalyst for improvement and are currently implementing additional training for our team focusing on status recognition and proactive guest service. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Mondrian Hongkong. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Check-in, Check-Out und auch sonstige Anliegen wurden immer zügig und zur vollsten Zufriedenheit durchgeführt. Das Zimmer, das Schlafzimmer und das Bad waren sehr funktional, super sauber und schön hergerichtet. Der Blick aus dem Fenster auf die Bucht zwischen Hongkong Island und dem Festland war grandios. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nicht zu opulent, hat aber keine Wünsche offen gelassen.
