How Mantra and the Accor Senior management team accept this hotel's presentation is beyond me. Does an area manager not walk through and demand changes? The staff were fine - courteous, helpful and I can't fault them. However the hotel itself needs work on it now. So tired, TV's on desks that don't face the bed, handwritten signs around the place, laundry dumped in corridors. It is by far the most disappointing Mantra I have stayed in from an amenities / physical point.

Stayed before when clarion room were perfect now disappearing mould in bath room air conditioning dirt room smelled from aircon curtains dirty need a good make over no pay tv will not be back we tried to watch pay tv but none really need a good look to improve

I have stayed here many times, basically because it is an Accor hotel, so I earn points. However, this is a very tired hotel. The pool had debris in it, even though the pump was working. The guttering and downpipe outside my room was all rusty and had holes in it. The air con compressors on my balcony are all rusty and noisy. I feel the maintenance on this hotel is fairly non existent. However, my room was comfortable, clean and tidy. It had everything I needed.

Very disappointing. Tired room, dirty balcony. Sinky bed. During a heatwave, and yet pool was closed due to palm fronds in the pool. Surely they could have rectified the problem - we were there for two nights and no pool. Interconnecting door not soundproof and the couple in that room had a loud domestic at 11pm. Not value for money at over $200 a night.

The hotel is situated at the Mackay Harbour and the water views over the marina were lovely. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there. Staff were very pleasant, particularly the breakfast staff. Our spa suite was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed staying at the Mantra Mackay.
