We had a splendid 4 nights at Mantra Mackay. The staff were very helpful, caring and friendly. Many thanks especially to Julie, who organised breakfast for us on one of the days when we had to leave the hotel at 6am for an early tour. The reception staff were polite and always available to help and provide us with additional amenities and directions within the locality. The rooms were clean and spacious with plenty of natural light and a lovely view of the marina, coral sea and swimming pool, which made for a relaxing swim on a hot afternoon. The town's centre was an easy drive within a 10 minutes' from the hotel.

CQ68 Couples - TripAdvisor review

We stayed in one of the front 1 bedroom apartments. Had a beautiful view of the marina and everything we required in the room, including a full laundry, separate lounge with a small kitchenette. It was perfect for our few days away. The restaurant offered good meals of which we partook and enjoyed. There were also a few other food places nearby if you wanted something different. However, there was not much else there, apart from other apartment blocks. The manager and staff were helpful and friendly. Would go back again.

Great location and views. Has started to become run-down more recently. Eg. bathroom is old and air conditioner didn't work etc.

Not happy, put in lower class room than paid for due to booked out

Booked basic room and guy on phone upsold me superior room with water front view (marina). checked in and got room, walked in room and looked the back road and no water view. Went down to complain and change rooms to get told they are booked out and sorry I got the wrong room. So paid extra and got no water view which he sold me.
