The check in was fairly quick but the room required painting as it was chipped and our air conditioner was on 68 but never seemed to get the room cool enough. I expect more from a Fairmont. Upon check out we had to inform, again, that we were part of a group and the rate provided was incorrect (a 20 minute discussion) even though we had clearly stated this at check in. In discussing other attendees of the event it happened to them as well. Where is the focus on detail?

It took me 2hours to check-in. The front desk didn’t do anything to try to accommodate my inconvenience. Experience, room, drinks and food all 2 stars at best. I won’t be coming back.

The hotel lobby and security staff are extremely inviting and pleasant. The check-in process was smooth and they are extremely professional. The rooms are well accommodated, but if I had one negative, the bathrooms are somewhat small. Other than that, they are updated and the housekeeping staff is great. The property is really a resort with outstanding amenities…just wish the pools were open later. The bars and lounges are vibrant, with great restaurant choices all over Phenomenal beach with plenty of activities day and night. I will definitely be back sometime soon.

Had great time and would return but few issues Some home boys acting out and smoking weed over the place causing the hotel to call police I never want to go on vacation where the police show up security needs to be better I had postponed the trip from the previous month and had order a cabana. We tried to cancel the Cabana but no one ever picked up . Finally we spoke to the reservation people who said they would cancel it but never did. We still had to paythe$50 charge . When we finally contacted the cabana people and the woman was rude and said there was nothing that she could do No one answers the phone ever . To call it took 20 min for someone to pick up - didn’t go on vacation to wait so long on the phone On sign out we had to carry our bags down because we couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone and send someone up. For the amount we paid we should have had better service No internet service or TV for the entire trip unacceptable for the money we paid For what you charge you must do better

Our trip was a company trip from the Thur - Sun. 3 months prior, I added an extra night to my stay for Wednesday. It was mishandled and all record of it was lost. When I showed up Wednesday they said I was a day early. So they moved my stay back a day and then tried to kick me out on Saturday when my stay was supposed to be until Sunday. When I went to get this straightened out the lady at the front desk was nothing but confrontational. Could not be reasoned with at all. It was a horrible experience that sucked the entire energy out of my trip. The only saving grace of that entire hotel is Martin at the pool bar. He is an amazing bartender with a great engaging personality that does a great job of making the guest feel welcome and comfortable.

Loved that they have two big pools and two small pools. The beach is located right on the property. The food at Meat Market, a high end restaurant was amazing and well worth the money.

I had a really great experience. I really love the amenities the ambiance, etc. The staff were great particularly Angelo and Jose who work at the front entrance they were so helpful with suggestions and things to do in the city. I highly recommend guest talk to them for suggestions of what to do and where to go! I am going to recommend your resort to my friends and family!

The parking experience was very inconsistent with how it worked and the pricing, I kept being told different things by different employees. I was overcharged at times, and mistakenly charged for valet, I had to get my bill sorted out before I left. I Really don’t think I’ll ever stay here again. It was a pretty hotel, but It wasn’t worth the headache of trying to deal with parking. It’s too bad that my first time in the country had to be with this experience.

We spent 1000 for a cabana and couldn’t stay out there for the day. The music was grossly loud and on Sunday, we couldnt use the main pool as it was closed for some private party and the music was unbearable in that area

The hotel was clean and neat outside and in my room. Room service took great care of my room and I appreciated the staff following the covid guidelines. The only downside was a waiter at the pool on Tuesday of the week of my stay. She startled me coming from behind my chair at the pool asking if I wanted to order. I said one moment let me check the menu then she walked away. Looked for her and she never came back hours after. Only when she saw me putting my clothes on and gathering my belongings to leave she approached to order and I said no miss I am leaving now it is too late. I hope that improves.

We stood at the Fairmount from September 1-6th. We had an amazing time. The hotel is well maintained and clean. Direct access to the beach was great. Drinks are a bit expensive but you don’t always have to order drinks from the bar. But I will say Keith and Luis from the bar made our vacation!!! They were amazing. Super attentive, funny and sweet.I will definitely be staying at the hotel again.

When we arrived at the Fairmont El San Juan, we had to wait in line for check in for at least 30 minutes because of long line and only two front desk people. We had reserved two rooms and were required to pay $50 per room to ensure they were adjoining. When we arrived around 5:30, one of our rooms was not ready yet. We were assured by the front desk that the room would "be ready very soon." We went to our room that was ready to wait for the other room to open, but didn’t get a call about the other room. I went next door to check on its status and the room had clearly not been touched by housekeeping. I saw a housekeeper in the hallway and was told that the room would not be ready “for a long time.” I went back to the front desk to let them know that our room was not going to be ready “very soon” and asked to be moved to new rooms. I was told that there were no adjoining rooms available (which we had paid for). Because we had had a long journey and had to leave early the next morning, I asked for a second room that we not adjoining so that we could get in a room. After a long wait, I got the key to the second room and was told that the $100 we had to pay to ensure adjoining rooms would be credited to our account. This credit did not happen. We were offered a free breakfast, but because we had an early flight we didn’t have time to use it was a meaningless benefit. The Fairmont El San Juan represents that it is a luxury hotel and charges some of the highest rates in San Juan. We spent $1,124 for one night in your hotel, and we very disappointed in our experience and won’t be staying at your hotel or recommending it to anyone in the future. Also, while I have never left a TripAdvisor or Yelp review before, I plan to document my experience on social media so that others can know to avoid your hotel.
