Good place to stay for the budget traveler.

Decent place to stay on a budget in Singapore. Very nice, accommodating staff. We arrived very early in the morning and they allowed us to store our luggage and after we got some breakfast and walked around for a while, we were able to get into our room early, around 12:00 pm. Beds are rather hard but manageable. Great AC to combat the heat and humidity of Singapore. Be sure to hold the shower head in your hand to decrease wetting up everything in the bathroom. The water pressure is good. Great location off the beaten path but in the midst of lots of eateries. About a 15 minute walk to a mall with a Starbucks and many other places to eat/shop. A bus runs right by the hotel and you can connect to the MRT station to go downtown. About a 16 minute walk to an MRT station.

I had a wonderful stay here. 3D2N. Took a bas from Changi T4 and got off at Joo chiat complex. 10 min walks to reach this hotel. Clean room and happy with my stay. Will return in Oct to stay here. Satisfied. Highly recommended.

Excellent budget hotel

We have stayed in Joo Chiat previously and wanted to stay there again, this hotel was the best value. It’s exceptionally clean with a modern interior. At the bottom of Joo Chiat Road is Marine Parade MRT which is the easiest to walk to. The water in the bathroom is drinking water and there is a fridge so it’s easy to fill water bottles and cool them.

Basic hotel in good location

A relatively cheap and basic hotel in a good location. We recently stayed here for one night as we transited through Singapore. Our room had an external window and was a decent size. The cooling worked particularly well. The bathroom was a good size, but you need to remember to turn on the hot water switch located near the air-conditioner controls when you walk in the room. The bed was very firm and you are supplied with only one pillow and one towel. The reception and check-in process was quick and uneventful. The building is serviced by only one elevator, but the whole complex is relatively small so this doesn’t present as an issue. I enjoyed this hotel’s location. There are a number of bars nearby together with a lot of Vietnamese restaurants that present good dining opportunities. In summary, a good hotel at a cheap price, in a good location.

I recently stayed at Ibis Singapore and found it to be a convenient option mainly due to its excellent location. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, which I appreciated after a long journey. However, the room itself was very small, and the amenities felt quite basic considering the nightly rate. There isn’t much to highlight beyond the location, which is ideal for short stays. Overall, it’s a decent choice for one to two nights if you prioritize location over comfort.
