Small room but o.k for the price

The hotel room is small and once I opened my suitcase space was limited. Luckily I was travelling by myself. The room was clean and had a jug,cups and some coffee/tea sachets which was nice. The T.V could only get limited channels. The view from my window was a building site but was not disturbed by noise. The other rooms occupants were very noisy and obliviously don't consider other people when coming back late at night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. I found the A/C fan speed was not the best as I couldn't have it going slow. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is not the best but I never felt unsafe. The Aljunied Station metro is a short walk. Considering how expensive Singapore is, it was a fair price.

The service was good, although the room is a bit of a different story. I understand that this is a budget hotel but our room looked nothing like the pictures advertised. The room was really outdated, the bathroom was not the best and very dirty. The beds are rock solid and not comfortable at all. I think it’s ok for a day or 2 stay. The rooms need some renovations I think.

Best Location in nice town , easy to visit around, room was clean and tidy, but little tiny, good views, staff is so so, been walking around both day and night time have a lot of shop around. Coffee shop nearby is tasty vet nice but alit expensive 7$ small cup.

Typical Ibis with a small and basic room, it could be a little tight with 2 people. Location is great, take the number 2 bus to chinatown and back. Eateries all around, although ‘very local’ and not particularly warming to westerners. Lovely staff, especially Anis, thanks for your kind hospitality!

The hotel was closed!

We arrived at the hotel after a long day. To our surprise, the hotel was suddenly transformed into a quarantine hotel and closed to guests. Although we had a pre-paid reservation, no one informed us about it or provide solutions in advance. The security guard was skeptic in the beginning but finally he agreed to call someone from inside who redirected us to another hotel. One of the reasons why we selected this hotel was its proximity to the MRT in direction of the airport. This was not the case for the hotel they sent us. Also, when we arrived to the new hotel (fortunately the taxi was paid by them) it took around 15 minutes until the "system" allowed us to check in.

Dear Juan, We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience casued by the change of hotel. The hotel received short notice that it had to be converted to a quarantine hotel to serve the community. Joo Chiat is within the same locality as the hotel that you had booked.
