Fabulous facilities but caught out by room allocations

Whilst the rooms were fabulous - we were caught out by a hefty bill which was double what we had been quoted to pay upon booking for our stay. When I booked I requested adjoining rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. We were allocated the king suite and a twin queen room - enough beds for 8 adults. The suite would have accommodated us all - and when we went to the room and discovered the size of the rooms and number of beds, I immediately went to reception and advised that we had been allocated rooms which were surplus to our needs. I tried to cancel the twin room, but was advised that we could not amend any of the booking as it was within the non-refund period. It seems unreasonable that we were allocated these rooms (the booking was made 6 months ago without specific room allocation and believing the cost of our rooms was significantly lower). I think the Mantra has done us a disservice and allocated us two of the most expensive rooms in the hotel - I feel deceived and tricked into having to pay over $1500 for a 2 night stay - I will rethink staying with you again and caution all of my basketball contacts who may be looking to book at Mantra Traralgon in the future.

Was only provided with one room key and Managed to lock the room key in our room at 9pm only to be told receptions closes at 8 Had to pay a $50 call out fee to an employee that told us he was on wages When I questioned the charge I was told to email mantra So I did and guess what - No reply and the charge stands Considering Mantra in Traralgon is classified as one of the best the lack of operational hours was terrible

We loved our stay at the Mantra in Traralgon. They were able to let us check in early which was really helpful as our group was going to a wedding that afternoon. Beds were comfortable and rooms spacious.
