Unique, luxurious and admirable

Our first stay at a 21c was in the Nashville location (now sold to Hilton!) last year. At the time, my wife told me she wanted to stay at all of them. So this year I planned that we would celebrate both our birthdays and anniversariy off the official date and overnight at this 21c. I am now of the impression that they're all superb, genuine treasures for the city they're in, and well worth the trip. Our room was comfortable. Sleep quality excellent. The bathroom is especially nice. Note that there is only desk space for one computer--I have concluded that I can do without mine for a night so it's OK for us, but others might need to take turns or resort to their business center. All 21c locations contain a free art gallery, open 24/7, as a community service. They have several permanent pieces on display throughout their lobby, and several galleries on the second floor where special exhibitions are shown. The exhibition on this visit was "Labor and Materials", visual arts homage to labor, construction and manufacture--and it was excellent. There was one imperfection. I suddenly had to write a short piece, and with no computer, I tried to use their business center. But I could not access the internet through their wifi using the Apple computer in that center--nothing we tried worked. So I had to resort to composing the thing on my mobile phone--hope I never have to do that again. Staff is consistently happy and helpful. We learned that 21c pays employees a living wage plus health insurance and 401(K) plan--which makes me even happier to give them my business. This location isn't as spectacular as Nashville was--but I'm entirely pleased and eager to add the next 21c to our record.

My first impression of the hotel was with the valet, who was incredibly helpful even while training a new member of the team. Then you walk in and the first thing I thought was "okay, this is NICE." Sure enough, I was not disappointed in my stay here. Check-in was easy, staff was always kind and quick to respond to requests for things like ice or getting the car brought around. Now, yes, I am giving it a 5/5, and I would absolutely stay here again, but I do think it's important to share about things that (while they did not bother me) might bother someone looking to stay here: - There are a LOT of mirrors. Mirrors everywhere, including IN the shower, which was different. - AC was tricky to find a balance between too warm and too cold, but it did what was asked of it. - Road noise was sometimes an issue, even though we were on the top floor, though I suspect this is more of an issue with the age of the building. - Business center is... not really a thing. Nor are desks in the room, so if you need to work, it might be hard. The best things? - Shower was AWESOME. Great pressure, multiple head settings, and stayed hot through two long showers without issue. - Bed was sooooo comfortable, and they had both harder and softer pillows - Noise from other hotel rooms/the hallway was never an issue - Nightcap was a nice bonus! - Fitness center was pretty dang good for a boutique hotel. Had a good variety of equipment. - Seriously cannot compliment the staff enough. They were so kind and helpful. - Valet was cheaper than parking anywhere else and they were FAST.

This hotel will steal your credit card number and fraudulently charge you months later. I stayed there on a business trip that was paid for by the company I was interviewing with. First, they charged me for the room that I was not responsible for in the first place, then two months later they charged me again for someone who was also travelling on that businesses' dime. Do not do business with this hotel.

Ich war im Rahmen einer Geschäftsreise in 21 C Museum Hotel in Lexington und absolut zufrieden. Das Hotel ist eine willkommene Alternative zu den etwas eintönigen Kettenhotels, die es in Lexington natürlich auch gibt. Das Hotel wurde in ein ehemaliges Bürohaus gebaut und besticht durch ein ganz eigenes Design. Die Lobby ist mit diverse Kunstobjekten dekoriert und macht einen interessanten, wenn auch nicht überaus gemütlichen Eindruck. Check-in freundlich und flott. Ich habe ein Eckzimmer im 11 Stock bekommen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und mit reichlich Fenstern ausgestattet, daher sehr hell. Ich hatte einen tollen Blick über das Zentrum von Lexington. Die Einrichtung ist modern und gemütlich. Technische Ausstattung Top. Badezimmer geräumig und ebenfalls gut eingerichtet. Lediglich die Klimaanlage war etwas sehr laut, sodass ich sie zwischenzeitlich abgestellt habe. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Restaurant mit Showküche und eine kleine Bar. Das Restaurant serviert eine kreative Interpretation der Küche des Südens. Sehr gut! Große Weinkarte! Die Bar bietet eine recht ansehnliche Sammlung an Bourbon an sowie diverse Cocktails. Service durchweg sehr freundlich. Einziger Kritikpunkt war der Check-out. Wir sind recht früh aufgebrochen, so dass die Rechnung vom Frühstück noch nicht gebucht war. Laut der jungen Dame an der Rezeption aber kein Problem, da man ja über die notwendigen Kreditkarteninformationen verfüge. Die Rechnung würde man uns per Mail in den nächsten zwei Stunden nachschicken. Auf die Rechnungen warten wir heute noch und auch unser Sekretariat konnte noch keine Erfolge erzielen. Ich nehmen mal zugunsten des 21c an, dass dies eine selten Ausnahme war. Ansonsten tolles Hotel. Für mich bislang das beste Hotel Lexingtons.
