Good hotel… not so good restaurant

We stay at the hotel for 6 nights. All things about the hotel were outstanding either the exception of the restaurant. Although the staff was amazing, Milagros, Patricia, Williams, and Leticia, the food service was terribly slow. Not because of the waitstaff, but because of the kitchen. A service of toast and butter took 20 minutes, and when it came out the toast was cold. They would run out of basic like White Bread, Oranges for fresh OJ. The food was good but quite basic. It seemed that they were running with not enough wait staff for the handful of tables reserved for guest who were not having their buffet…

Negative points: - Only shampoo and soap were provided; there was no conditioner or any other bathroom items (shower cap, cotton swabs, cotton balls, etc.). The hairdryer was very weak; if you need to use one, I recommend bringing your own. - The air conditioning wouldn't turn off at all, and absurdly cold air came out of the vent. The display is just for show, because turning it off or increasing the temperature didn't change anything. - The maid left our room door open on our second day. We spent the whole day out, and when we arrived at the hotel at night, our door was ajar. - The air conditioning in the common areas was absurdly cold (16°C), making all guests visibly uncomfortable. Positive points: - Polite and helpful staff; they let us into our room 7 hours before the expected check-in time.
