From the gregarious welcome to our final departing moments, this hotel exceeded all expectations and ranks among the best we've stayed in Europe! Checkin with Ivan at the front desk was efficient and gracious, made all the sweeter with Pamela immediately assisting my wife with securing tickets for a concert at the Roman theatre a few days later. We were upgraded to a suite due to Accor status and the room was outstanding. The M Gallery does perform at this location, with ultra modern ameneties (this is the first green hotel in Bulgaria) such as touch pads for lights, AC, power-pulled curtains, etc., lots of power points, beautiful furnishings, very comfortable bed, and plenty of seating, table, counter spaces, etc. Bathroom had full tableau of amenities that are rarely seen in hotels any more. Spectacular lighting throughout with great effect. Entire hotel was modern and clearly up to exacting standards in design, outlay, care, housekeeping. Staff everywhere were gracious, always a verbal welcome upon returning through the lobby from outings as well as at the breakfast restaurant (Roslan, our waiter each morning, was terrific at his work but also exemplary in representing the hotel - informative about the surroundings, the people, and the hotel). The hotel situated within short walking distance of Old Town as well as the main business district with lots of restaurants, shops, and Roman ruins. This is a great hotel. I would return to Plovdiv just to stay at this hotel (and have the traditional eggs benedict at breakfast and listen to Roslan).

We spent a few enjoyable days with family and friends at the Emporium Hotel in Plovdiv. We enjoyed spending time at the lobby and hotelbar which is an absolute bliss. The design is well balanced with a subdued kind of contemporary chique. It is cozy, and warm which makes you feel easily at home. During the stay the staff was attentive, friendly and professional. We stayed in a suite, which was equally well balanced, beautifully and smartly designed, but above all comfortable. We absolutely recommend the Emporium for a luxury, comfortable, and energizing stay in Plovdiv.

Very cute little hotel in a quiet neighbourhood that is very central to all the sights. A great place to stay. The staff are wonderful: nothing is too much trouble and they are super helpful and friendly. Parking was included and right next to the hotel. Our only comment would be to make sure to choose your room carefully: book the largest possible because they are very small. Also, note that the balconies are actually internal to the building. In our room, the shower and the sink were in the little bedroom which meant disturbing your partner to use the toilet in the night, and no privacy except for the toilet itself. The design of the rooms is very clever however: a bit like being on a spaceship! If you are light sensitive bring some tape because all the light switches are big, glowing panels that shine very brightly in the dark, and they are everywhere.
