Wir verbrachten 4 Nächte im sehr guten Mercure, das verkehrsgünstig liegt, weil man recht schnell zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt (mit Subway, Bussen, Bahnen) gelangt. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und mit dem stylishen, sauberen Zimmer in der 7. Etage waren wir sehr zufrieden. Die Betten sind bequem, die Klimaanlage ist leise, das Bad funktional und das Frühstück war ebenfalls überraschend gut.

Cómodo, muy céntrico y con toques que da gusto, como las vistas de nuestra habitación (1012) que fueron fantásticas. Las trabajadores son muy amables y ayudan bastante. La habitación fue mas grande que el típico hotel japones

Hotellet ligger centralt, og har en fin udsmykning i receptionen og restauranten. Værelserne rummer det de skal, men der var en del støj fra vejen i vores værelse. Det var desuden en hylelyd døgnet rundt, og det var irriterende. Morgenmaden rummede ikke helt det der burde være. Det var f.eks scrambled eggs men ingen bacon. Den Japanske del spiste vi ikke af. Aftensmad restauranten var dyr og ikke noget særligt. Personalet var venlige når man havde kontakt, men lidt påtaget.

Heel mooi hotel met mooie ruime moderne kamers. Alleen bij het ontbijt kon het heel druk zijn. De koffiemachines waren traag en niet voldoende voor de hoeveelheid mensen. Wel heel lekkere koffie en zeer uitgebreid ontbijt…

Die Bahnhofsnähe war entscheidend für unsere Buchung des Mercure. Die ist auch gut für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, bleibt man nur ein paar Tage in Kyoto, empfiehlt sich eher ein Standort in der Innenstadt (hatten wir die ersten Tage). Die Einrichtung ist stylisch, das geht vor allem in den Zimmern aber zulasten des Komforts. Das Badezimmer ist klein, dunkel und hat wenig Ablagefläche. Alles ist sehr sauber, die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich. Das Frühstück ist gut, allerdings gibt es in der Stoßzeit Stau an den Kaffeemaschinen. Unter den Gäste sind sehr viele Deutsche (Reisegruppe ).
