Nice, clean hotel that was located conveniently close to town and to the train station. Bed was comfortable, walls were quite thin as I could hear my neighbor yelling at his football team well into the night. I was in a wheelchair accessible room and the bathroom was quite large however half the shower curtain was missing and it made quite the wet mess on the floor. The fan would not turn on so had to keep the window open all night. Breakfast was good however I wish they changed it up a bit. I was there for 5 nights and the only thing that changed was the flavor of the yogurt. I would rate this an average hotel if it weren't for Andrea at the front desk. She was always smiling and was very helpful, especially with my daily requested to fill my thermos with ice. She even went so far as to write down instructions on how to purchase a train ticket, just in case I had any problems doing so.

A few minutes walk along the main road from the railway station or an easy walk from the town centre. There is also a car park at the hotel. Comfortable room as expected. Decent shower and towels and hair dryer provided. Sockets next to the bed.

Having stayed in other hotels in the Coburg area I was very impressed with the Ibis. The rooms are a good size and well appointed for this type of hotel. There is a great TV with airplay access, a room safe and USB charging ports. The bathroom is a good size, very clean and a powerful shower. The breakfast offering is good with both hot and cold options. The overall ambiance of the hotel is also good. I have now stayed in this hotel 2 times and will continue to return.

New and clean rooms

I enjoyed the stay here as the room is very new and clean. The bed is very comfortable. My room was facing the train track, so when I opened the window, I could hear the occasional noise from the passing train. Otherwise, it was peaceful when the window was closed. The location of the hotel is good as it is less than 10 minutes walk to Marktplatz, which is the city center. The breakfast has a nice selection of eggs, cold cuts, cheese, bread, etc. They are freshly prepared and replenished regularly.

There are not enough parking places for hotel arrivals! The receptionist said, why not come by train…!!!! Not recommened, if travelling by own car!! The rooms where quite nice and clean. But new hotel and a terrible carpet on the floor! Why? It’s not easy to keep clean.
