A Serene and Exciting Stay at Banyan Tree Anji

We just came back from a 3-day stay at Banyan Tree Anji and honestly, it was such a great experience. From the moment we checked in, we felt looked after. Molly, our butler, was amazing — always one step ahead in arranging things for us and making sure we were comfortable. We were actually among the first to try their new Banyan Tree Connections package, run by the Spa Center. It’s a mix of spa sessions, meditation, yoga, and other wellness activities. Tingting and Amy, who hosted the program, were super warm and welcoming. They kept everything running smoothly, explained each activity, and made sure we got the most out of it. The schedule was packed in the best way — morning Taiji, sunset sound meditation, and all sorts of pool and water activities. We never felt bored, but also never felt rushed. Everything was just… easy. We showed up, they handled the rest. Between the peaceful setting, the friendly people, and all the things to do, it was the perfect mix of active and relaxing. We left feeling refreshed and happy, and honestly, we’d go back in a heartbeat. 我们刚从安吉悦榕庄的 3 天假期回来，说真的，这次体验特别棒。刚到酒店就感受到被细心照顾的感觉。我们的管家 Molly 特别贴心，总是提前帮我们安排好一切，确保我们全程都很舒服。 我们还算是第一批体验他们新推出的 Banyan Tree Connections 项目的客人，这个项目由水疗中心主办，包含了水疗、冥想、瑜伽等各种养生活动。婷婷和Amy 是这个项目的负责人，人非常亲切热情，不仅帮我们安排好每天的行程，还会耐心介绍每个活动的内容，让我们能充分体验其中的乐趣。 行程安排得很充实，但一点都不累——早上的太极课、日落的声波冥想，还有各种泳池和水上活动。完全不用操心，我们只要准时出现就行，剩下的他们都帮我们搞定了。 环境安静舒服，人又好，活动多又有趣，这三天既充实又放松。我们走的时候身心都轻松了不少，真心觉得以后还会再来。

We had an amazing experience at the Banyan tree Anji. We went with our family of four plus my mother. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful rooms and delicious food. The staff could not have been more friendly. We especially appreciated the help of Yolanda on their Wechat account. She made sure all of our special requests were made ahead of our arrival. She even helped send a few items that we accidentally left behind in the room back to us in Shanghai. Can't wait to stay there again the next time we go to Anji!

Wonderful environment, very spacious and great staff. They had lots of activity’s for kids and were always attentive to our needs. We got a kids room which was big enough for all 4 of us and it had all the amenities I would expect from a hotel , even though it’s very remote in regards to location.

We stayed two nights from Saturday to Monday - hence, we could experience the regular rich weekend travelers from Shanghai & Hangzhou as well as the group tourists once the weekend it over. In general the hotel is very well managed, staff is well trained and friendly. We did a lot of activities such as swimming, meditation, gym, some games downstairs as well as archery - some of the activities are to be paid in addition which however is formally explained upfront. Prices of the accommodation are high and food / drinks are expensive - nevertheless, the hotel is definitely a great base for visiting Anji and Moganshan for 2-3 days.

Comfortable, upscale accommodations in a slightly remote location

Located within a gated community approximately 20 minutes from central Anji, the Banyan Tree caters primarily to Chinese tourists looking for an upscale experience in the area. Our family spent three nights there as we explored the nearby sights and all in all, found it to be a beautiful environment offering comfortable rooms, friendly service, and a generally relaxing experience. For non-Chinese speakers, there may be a bit of a language barrier depending on whom you speak with, but service across the board was genuine and friendly. Breakfast was a highlight, with a beautiful spread of Asian and Western choices. That said, we did wish the evening offerings at the hotel were more varied, especially as there are little options nearby. Perhaps the biggest highlight was the nearby play area within the community. While it has clearly seen better days, it offered a welcome destination to explore to and seemed to be a hit with almost all the families. Our only complaint was with the pool. Both the swimming pool and hot tub were relatively cold and the general indoor ambience lacking. Given the location, it would have been nice to have had more attention paid to making it a welcome and pleasant space.
