This is our first time in Tasmania. The location of the hotel is excellent. Walking distance to the restaurants and city centre. Also, nicely spread out for entry, exit and parking if you are driving. The undercover secure car park is very good. There is also limited free parking outside, which looks safe too. Our room was spotlessly clean and modern, overlooking Tamar river. Cataract gouge is a short drive away. Breakfast is à la carte. Buffet would have been better. Restaurant menu didn’t have variety and we ate out for lunch and dinner. The silo concept is unique. The hotel rooms are built within a silo, the curved wall with exposed concrete. The hotel dog Archie at the reception is cute. The Sri Lankan / Indian young lady at the reception was very courteous and helpful. Excellent customer service. All other staff were great too.

This is one of our favourite hotels and we’ve stayed here many times. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are consistently excellent, friendly and professional. They are 100% guest focused. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Complimentary milk and bottled water, all refreshed daily. Beds are super comfortable and it is no trouble and no extra cost to add rollaway beds/ sofa beds if you need. Location is great right next to the best park in Tasmania and an easy 5 minute walk to Seaport restaurants.

This hotel is beautiful. The staff looked after us so nicely. The room was very spacious , the bed amazing , the shower fabulous and Archie the dog in reception such a beautiful touch . Loved our stay here , thank you !

This was my highlight The hotel is comfortable, warm close to walking tracks across the road is a car & bike museum. The hotel is great for couples, families, solo travellers . They have a lovely restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is a few minutes drive to the cataract gorge chair lift. Be prepared to pay for parking though
