Fantastic stay in Launceston! Exceptionally clean, neat, and quiet hotel located right on the river. The staff were super friendly and the hotel is situated in a beautiful area. Walk across the bridge and you have a city park along the water. There are also several great restaurants next door. We never heard another guest during our stay, despite the hotel being fully booked. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here in the future if I am ever back in Tasmania.

First the good points. We received a great welcome from the 3 young ladies at reception. The hotel is well placed to most things. It struck me as ageing but was being given TLC. No real car park but spots at the front door - you MUST get a voucher from the Hotel to get a cheap rate. However we did have some bad things. Our room was supposedly a Luxury "Marina View" Suite - Riverside. All the photos in the Hotels site show river/marina views from ALL angles/rooms and the description says 'river side'. Our room however had a view of the marina from one room BUT the other room's view is the main highway and is the 'city side' of the hotel. Hardly a river/marina view. I find this most misleading. Our son's room had a broken toilet - which was fixed. The room was poorly provided with a few dishes and plates - for 2 only. It did have a coffee machine, micro wave and fridge. 2 TVs - with Foxtel. Even had a dishwasher - which they put on even if it only had 1 cup in it ! Also a washer and dryer. Good shower. To top it off we got a carton of milk that was off. Made my coffee and poured in milk - only to have to throw it out. Parking is pay - and in the open. Not a lot of spots so get there early. Quite expensive so ask hotel for their discount voucher. The hotel is very well positioned for going to the places you will want to see - ie the Gorge, the whisky distillery, Penguin/Devonport, Georgetown (Tamar River drives), Grindlewald etc. Maccas nearby and a top fish and chip shop just 15 minute walk - opposite Maccas. NOT the one on the marina. The Indian on the Marina is not bad. I must say the exception to the negatives were the people - they were excellent - couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. It was just the misleading Hotel advert that still annoys us. You book because you accept what they say and the pictures. You don't expect it to be false or misleading. My tip if you book a similar room - demand an 02 room - not 01. The 02 Rooms had the view described and shown in the pictures. The hotel is only 3 levels so there are only 3 such rooms available.

A very enjoyable place to stay, with great views across the dock on one side and minutes away from some very good restaurants. Rooms were self-contained and large, being a very roomy one-bedroom apartment. The apartment was very clean, modern and quiet, and well serviced, with a Nespresso machine and other utensils. I enjoyed the fact that the room was self-contained, so that some meals could be prepared and eaten on site, in comfort. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is available immediately adjacent to the hotel for a very reasonable cost. An enjoyable stay which I would be happy to repeat.

Very welcoming reception when we arrived. Didn’t take long. Had only booked for a small room, but it was great just a view of the parking area. Arrived late and leaving early. Room has all you need. Unfortunately someone had burnt toast and the fire brigade came. Really pretty spot and lots of walks near the building. Restaurant part of the building. Plenty to do.

Great welcome. Great room even had a washing machine, drier and iron as we had been away over a week. Coffee pods provided. The view was excellent with all bars and eating places within walking distance. Car parked up for 3 days. Did river cruise, gorge, market, brewery, met friends, chairlift, and 2 tvs as sport was always on one of them. Wine and cheese consumed in the evening on the balcony overlooking the river. Peppers you have ruined our stays elsewhere as the bar is set very high.
