The soundproofing of the rooms is not the best. We could hear the conversations and radio sounds from upstairs. Housekeeping was also a bit of hit and miss - some days good but some days we found our stuff on the floor or behind the bed stand instead of on it! Duty manager was very friendly and responsive and gave us vouchers to grab a “quick” coffee on the day we checked out but that quick coffee took 20 minutes and we encountered the most unpleasant staff ever at the cafe! We did say we wanted the coffees and hot chocolates to take away when we ordered (and it was 10:30am without a crowd) but 20 minutes later the manager came with two ceramic cups. We said it was for take away and his response was “oh you want these take away?” and “it’s ok we’ll just pour these into paper cups”. No apology for the mix up. The barista was sour faced from the beginning, not saying a word, pouring the hot chocolates into paper cups and putting the lids on and then the marshmallows on TOP of the lids (it’s windy outside). A “sorry for the mixup” would have gone a long way to make up for the long wait. I asked the manager if there was a complaint form I can fill in. The response was simply “you can go to our website”. Not even interested in finding out why someone wants to file a complaint. Other than the very responsive and friendly duty manager who takes pride in doing his job, the rest of the staff are just doing a job. If you can’t and don’t care about your service in the hospitality industry then you shouldn’t be in the hospitality industry.

Great location and not a normal stale hotel like others in Launceston. Love the different rooms and staff are very attentive and friendly. If you are lucky you might even meet the resident Labrador. The restaurant serves local produce and wines and with the ACCOR discounts well worth the visit

Peppers Silo Launceston is my first choice in accommodation in the area. The service is great, room is lovely and being welcomed back is a nice touch. Always a pleasure to stay there. Food via room service was exceptional. I had to stay overnight for business on my birthday and found a nice card with a bottle of bubbly and a gluten free cake. Very nice touch.

We stayed in a Silo Gorge River Room. So spacious, bed was divine & facilities in the room excellent. We had room service & dined in the restaurant twice. Food was fabulous! Absolutely recommend. A wonderful stay while in Launceston. We would love to stay again.

Great stay in a unique accomodation. The whole reason we chose this hotel was because of the fact that this was a repurposed silo. Very unique way of modern day upcycling that worked wonderfully. All staff integrations exceeded our expectations.
