Spacious Studio with View ,Conveniently located to bus & ferry

Spacious clean studio with lovely view . Easy & convenient to get around as bus stop was just across from the hotel, also right by Ferry .The Sofa/couch was very low & not the best or most comfortable if over the age of 50yrs, air con unit quite noisey and the door that open onto the area of the 2 units was catching and made an horrendous noise day & night when opened ,however these were only small annoying things that did not spoil the holiday. The ladies cleaning the stairs and stairwells did an immaculate job - spotless as was the room. The pool areas were lovely although not very warm during July.

Fantastic service. The staff were friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. We were silly and didn’t make a booking for the restaurant so the manager told us a good time to come back and even remembered us when we did! She thanked us for coming back and made sure our dinner was top notch.

Good stay with a couple of minor things to tidy up

Good stay, rooms clean and nice. I’d recommend not going with the base level room to avoid backing onto the main road with road noise A couple of small things could be looked at. - the fridge freezer in our room had a broken seal which was creating constant and unavoidable condensation and rust on the door which was a bit yuck. - we were offered a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival however upon trying to claim it were treated as if we were doing something shady, simply because we (or the bar staff) were unable to navigate the complex online mechanic. “For future reference” was a term that was used with us on how to use the website, which felt as if we were being scolded. Welcome drinks should be just that - welcoming - so suggest this should be tidied up for other guests (i.e. remove the online requirement and complete the admin yourselves on the guests behalf) or otherwise my recommendation would be to remove it altogether to avoid similar unsavoury experiences.

Superior/deluxe rooms have views of marina. Room are quite spacious, but could do with some decorative charm and character. The sofa needed a clean and the sideboard/storage unit was dated and a bit damaged. Rainfall shower was nice, as were the toiletries. Bed was comfy. Very handy to the ferry and local buses. The island is beautiful with lots to do for a few days. Beaches are very pretty and the landscape interesting. It would be great to have more Indigenous Australian signage, stories, and tradition. Breakfast buffet was decent. Evening meal was nice but a bit too expensive for most portion sizes.

So disappointing from a reliable hotel group

As a gold Accor member we travel allot and mostly stay at Accor. This visit to Peppers on Magnetic Is, was so disappointing. We started with our room, it was tired and dirty overlooking the carpark and morning bin collection. Though it was pleasant watching the ferries come and go, the cars running their engines in the queue just below us was awful and the balcony mostly unusable. The food on sight was mush, except for Maggie's toasties across the road at the terminal which saved a few breakfast. Room cleaning occurred once in the week we were there, but no vacuum and the kitchen shelf still thick with dust. And we were in the room watching the attempt at cleaning. Not a happy place and it shows in the staff and the poor service.
