We were a group of six women visiting Queenstown for the marathon weekend. Our Lakeview apartment at Peppers Beacon was perfect for us as we had three bedrooms with ensuites and six single beds. The lounge area and balcony were spacious and comfortable and the view from our room was excellent. The staff at Peppers went above and beyond to help us when we couldn’t get our fireplace to work (they called out a technician who fixed it the next day). Yes the resort is a little bit old, but not everywhere can be new. We would all definitely stay here again!

The location, with views, and apartments were very comfortable. This is the third time that we have used this accomodation venue and I will continue to use this accomodation option. The range of apartments to suit all family/friend arrangements was great. We had a three bedroom apartment with a view, and each couple had their own king size bed and ensuite. Very happy.

This is our fourth stay at this amazing place, and it still lived up to our expectations. It was wonderful to meet up again with Lana who once again was always so helpful and made our stay even more pleasant. An unexpected bonus for me, after being on a bicycle cycling trail for four days to find the bath that was in our suite. We look forward to returning to this venue the next time we are in Queenstown. Amazing views. Spacious comfortable 2 bedroom apartment ( both bedrooms had en suites) with floor-to-ceiling glass windows along the entire front part overlooking the mountain side. Well appointed with a fireplace, full kitchen, washer & dryer. Just across the road from the lake & a flat, 5 minute walk to everything. Good breakfast. Friendly efficient staff everywhere. We stayed with 2 grandchildren aged 6 & 4 & there was ample space for them to spread their toys and play. TVs in all the rooms , heat pump + extra heaters. Only negatives in the apartment were not many options in the bathrooms to hang clothes or towels, no proper powerful exhaust fan ( there was a sign saying to close the door while showering/bathing or the steam may set off the fire alarm!) & a heated towel rail would’ve been a necessity I’d have thought in Queenstown. House-keeping was a bit of a hit-and-miss with different teams at work. One of the teams with two friendly girls was very efficient at re-stocking & making the beds tight & smooth, tidying up etc. The other always didn’t restock, just emptied the bins and made the beds rather loosely. But overall we had a great stay , were warm & comfortable & found the location excellent.

We booked a hotel king room. This would be the worst room we have stayed in for a very long time. You can’t even open the wardrobe door without moving the bedside table. There is mould in the shower, the room is dirty, I’m not sure how long since it was dusted completely. There is no chairs to sit on except 2 hard dining chairs. The tv is a small 27 cm, it’s smaller than my computer screen at home. This is no better than 2.5 to 3 star. Extremely disappointing. It is interconnected to a 2 bedroom unit and only uses one door to shutoff with, so very noisy, you hear everything. I would never ever stay here again.
